    sick note out again

He still looked injured on Saturday from his previous knocks, and surely he'd had enough reserve games that would be equivalent to a pre-season? A shame, as he used to be a cracking player, but I can't really see him getting back to that now. How long is he meant to be out for this time, then?

    Anyone shed any light here?

Well...he sounds like he has a bit of potential in FM. That aint a bad thing, eh? ;)

    Marvin Hasselbaink?

Yeah, the way it was stated as fact may have thrown some. There aren't many L2 players I haven't heard of, and certainly not Dutch ones!

    Anyone shed any light here?

THANK YOU! If he'd played for Aldershot, anyone who watches TFLS would have heard of him. Plus he'd have a wiki.

    Marvin Hasselbaink?

So...he didn't play for Aldershot in real life, just in someone's computer game?

    Player Contracts

Plus of course any player of value signing a new deal is no guarantee that SISU won't still sell them at the first opportunity. Turner never actually played for the club again after signing his new deal.

Whats' the buzz, Brinner, tell us whats' happening

Does that imply that Ken Bruce really was scared off by Ken's dodgy tactics then?

Everything about the man just says "winner", doesn't it?:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

    Platt and communication problems

OK playing out wide may not be his (McDonalds) game, but I still expect a player to be able to close down and show a little bit of workrate. Yes he was meant to be doing some defending when asked to fill in that role, but he was about as effective as a traffic cone. He just couldn't be bothered...

    McSheffrey signs a new contract

See, Sky were right, we are always calling him Sheffchenko! :claping hands:

    Platt and communication problems

No, it's a description of what we were doing on Saturday. My mate moaned all game about hoofball and kept asking why Murphy has stopped throwing the ball out all of a sudden. C'mon, don't tell me nobody else has noticed the transformation into a direct side in the past few games?

    Platt and communication problems

No it doesn't, it points to an inconsistent player and your observations being entirely different to mine. Guess we'd better get used to that, eh?

    West Ham Fan In Peace

Same as my dads! He raved so much about that Jim Blyth save-what a moment that must have been, better than a goal.

Nothing I say does though, right, Otis? How many did he score against Derby if his movement was so great?

    Platt and communication problems

Cody was withdrawn to wide-left very early in the game, where he remained until the second half. In theory he offers more flexibility in the starting line up, but with Platt in the side we could have withdrawn Lukas into that role (he wanders out there anyway, as you point out). My point is-you...

    Joe Murphy

Mostly agree, although on this seasons form I like Wood at CB for the physical presence (never thought I'd be pro-Wood..fnar, sounds a bit rude!). I also rate Clarke very highly. But I wouldn't write Cameron off too soon; he was in the side when we got to 4th before the hoofball wa found...

    Joe Murphy

Y'see I think it's more that he was desperately trying to cover for McPake all game. He managed it pretty well for the first part of the game, but in general it really was like defending with one centre-back: he couldn't mark two men, much as he tried!

    Platt and communication problems

The more the man speaks the more I like him. Not many footballers say things like "it may sound insignificant", they don't use big words. He clearly understands the game very well and his experience will be crucial. I've seen enough of Cody now to say that Clive is probably our 2nd best...
