Yep. An elite tactician who has known for weeks he was getting the role, would surely have known what tactics work with this squad and subsequently the best way to adapt said strategy for todays opponents. Tough ask, but not for an elite tactician.

Agree with all of that, apart from we’ve completely fucked it. I still maintain we could have a decent end to the season and play offs are still a possibility.
