Simms should have had 2, except Wright was too greedy

That was my post on the match that you responded to. we didnt restrict their chances, although of course we tried. so, tell me again, what’s your point?

You seem to be missing something. I never said I expected us to win, I said IF we expected to win, we have to limit their chances. That’s basic football, and it seems to be escaping you. Their record at home only dictates how MR chooses to set the team up, but if they score lots of goals...

Leeds played them a couple of weeks ago, how did they get on? oh, if we expect to win, we have to limit their chances surely. I thought that was one of the basics of football tbh.

stats are deceiving. They had a particular chance where there guy was alone on the pen spot, and blasted over. Easier to score, but that shows as not on target of course, as does Godden’s header…

my point was that we gave them too many good opportunities to score, for a team with expectations of getting in the top 6 and staying there. we dominated the game and yet to me it’s worrying how sloppy we were.

our 2nd was a deflection too. I only recall Godden having one clear cut chance. Have to watch the highlights

could we? I don’t recall them giving us that many clear chances. In fact, just the Godden one.

It’s a good result considering we gave them so many opportunities to score. Decent side could have had 5 against us tonight.

    O'Hare injury

As the players walked round the pitch after the win, he was limping

    Something urgent needs to happen

We got the pen and scored didn’t we? so, ref dealt with it, but was later found to be wrong (tricked?), hence Godden’s punishment. can’t see much of a difference between that and Allen’s incident In how it should be looked at.

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

He could have got a clean connection and smashed it into the back of the net?

    Allen injury

I was further along the stand to where Robins was, so saw it at an angle, and it looked like forearm to me, but, it’s all so quick in real time. I need a replay :D

    Allen injury

Yea, it was. But he had to be able to see through the players left arm and the rest of his body to see what his other arm did….

Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield Wednesday [FA] Match Thread - Tuesday 6th Feb

1st half, he was offside a few times, and when running with the ball looked like an ostrich trying to dribble with its own egg, but.. also showed some good touches. 2nd half he was much better all round I thought.

    Allen injury

And Robins was not in a great position to see it at all. like I said, I might be wrong

    Allen injury

Must admit, I didn’t see it as an elbow at the time, just an arm up knowing they were going to clash. Could be wrong though. the height difference between the 2 meant that Allen’s face and their players forearm were at the same level :D
