Both Steve and myself have constantly said about the problems with Brexit. But we also call out the bullshit blamed on Brexit. And this veg shortage is one of them.

So get to the point I did make. You say Brexit has something to do with the shortage yet Ireland who are in the EU has the same shortage. So what has Brexit to do with it?

Other than the usual blaming Brexit for things that it has nothing to do with there isn't a point. And it is so obvious. I thought it was only supposed to be Brexit that has anything to do with lies/misinformation.

So where is Spain and the Netherlands? Why can't Ireland get fresh veg? Would the growers ignore and break the contracts they already have to supply us when they are not supplying Ireland? What point of yours has been proven?

Nobody needs any more evidence about these threads being more about Brexit bashing than being truthful. Even though it's all there in black and white the rubbish continues. Brexit was shite and is shite. It has caused no end of trouble. But why can't we just keep to the truth for once?

Exactly. Germany doesn't have a problem. But there is no spare supply for them to purchase and send to their shops in the UK. We're not talking of a few tomatoes here. The contracts we have can't be fulfilled. If we were still in the EU would hundreds of tonnes of fresh veg suddenly become...

So our normal supplies come from the warmer parts. Or the Netherlands which used power for warmth. That is where the contracts are from. Or are you saying that the German supermarkets can't get fresh veg because of Brexit?

Why is that? The UK doesn't get big supplies from Italy. France doesn't have shortages either but they don't come from there either. You can't suddenly get tonnes of veg from where you don't have contracts with. Most is spoken for with present contracts. The Netherlands were also big suppliers...

So Brexit caused the war in Europe which has made energy prices spiral and also caused extreme weather in the countries where we normally get our veg from? But you're correct, Brexit blamed as usual.
