I loved this point: "There are players sat in the stand on 70-80k p/w! There should be a salary cap of 20k p/w, then you can earn up to 70 or 80k if you get out on the pitch and earn it in performance bonuses." Jason Roberts didn't like it, whinging about how there would be "jealousy in...

He's great, sounds like he wants to chin the guys he's debating with! The Deegan of pundits?

Twitter Rumour - Eastwood off to Palace?

It was mooted on rumour pages in the summer. But that's just because anyone who played for Southend and is useful ends up at Palace! I still think he's way of Championship pace, Freedman likes a grafter, and Freddy will go back to Southend with his tail between his legs when they get promoted...

You should try listening to him on R5 tonight, he's been great on Mario Stamp-gate, Wenger Sub-gate, agents, and more. Absolutely miles away from some of the quotes above, which clearly demonstrate a lack of knowledge of much of the mans work. Intellectual and confrontationally passionate in...

    McPake to Hibs

Dunno, I still haven't seen a single permanent signing since they arrived, and in terms of numbers we are no better than we were. Not to mention the Lukas fee clearly being unavailable to Thorn: it's free's or loans only. At least KD managed to squeeze a bit of the loose change from...

    Mcindoe again

I was told a private jet, too! If he was still about he coulda given Tango a lift home :p

    Mcindoe again

I'll repeat what I was told last week. A current squad member was told by McIndoe last season that if he gave him 20k, he would double it and return it to him as 40k the next week, and true to his word, he did. That said, sounds like this may have been a bit of a trust-gaining exercise, a bit...

    Big changes ahead this week

No chance. The bloke who is apparently "in your side" said that Barnsley "blow us out of the water", for one. And Doncaster?

Raising the bar with another well articulated observation again, there! What is with all the FLS bashers? Do you think it is a good thing that next season there won't be any free to air coverage of anything outside of the top flight? Can't you see that this is just another case of football...

    Big changes ahead this week

Well I'm glad that the club accountant is here to put me straight but, sorry, I think we are-and by some distance.

They got rid of that woman ages ago. Comparing it to Strictly is hogwash. Basically, you don't like football?

    To the Football League Show

That's what I thought-as in we were on it! I hope it ends up on Youtube as I think I'll enjoy watching our highlights again in 10-15 years time. I'll be thinking "I don't remember David Bell being this good..:thinking about:"

    To the Football League Show

Just going through my third sitting. I thought the coverage of our game was brilliant. Superb commentary, with some truly memorable lines: -"Platt again wins it" (1st goal build-up) "How about this for a calm, collected finish by McSheffrey?" -"McSheffrey, has the beating of Williams...hasn't...

I think Coleman was too soft and not enough of a motivator, but I do think he cared. Otherwise, agreed with all you say. That's 3 consecutive fantastic home wins in the league where we've played cracking football; not many managers would be able to drag that out of a side bottom of the...

So Much time for Darren Huckerby

I feel this kinda validates and backs up all I say about him in the Deegan the Destroyer thread. It is very comforting, in an evil way. I hope he likes Tarantino, too..Reservoir Dogs is probably his favourite. Astute was it you that made the Vinny comparison? Yeah, that stacks up well with this...

    Fat Freddie!

He's been injured, not lazy, big difference. And he closed down relentlessly second half in a way Freddy simply can't/won't. Don't get why he's such a hero to some, I really don't.
