I still think the schools plan is a mistake. Could have mitigated by telling school leaders they can use the last 3 weeks to stagger kids in as they see fit around testing - before a full return after the Easter break. You cannot logistically test an entire secondary of 1000+ pupils twice in a week.

To be honest - I’ve got far more issue with his bat shit crazy idea for schools.

Maybe I’m missing a point here, but is he saying in the same interview that we shouldn’t be trying to force out Hancock (rich and privileged) whilst simultaneously saying that the criminalisation of cannabis possession (focusing generally more on poorer people) is still important?

It shows that you have acknowledged the issue as well... not given a free pass.

There could be a whole opportunity after this to look at learning for students that need additional support. Using combination of in lesson/online learning could really help to improve the experience for lots of students.

I really hoped they had learnt something by now. When we opened in September daily cases were 1-2K. Now if he goes and opens full tilt on 8th March it’s likely cases will be around 7-8K. A phased return along with a vaccination program can end this once and for all, but we are destined to repeat...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Maybe - but as we’ve seen over the last 5 years... it’s far easier to portray a message of hate or intolerance via a media platform than it is a message of hope. That’s what Labour are up against. More people will share messaging of hating on Harry and Meghan than they will of kids going hungry.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Whilst I don’t disagree necessarily - Labour’s PV policy was borne from the will of the membership. These weren’t what you would call ‘extreme’ (apart from their Brexit position) so you could argue the moderate members were complicit in an absurd policy. The more extreme members were far more...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

There are several different points here to address for me. Firstly there is a question to be asked about the conduct of party officials leading up to the 2017 GE. Lots of members paid their subs in good faith (including myself) and I don’t expect people to behave in that manner. Maybe that is...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Whose to say it isn’t you that is detached from reality? You have your own ideas for how the party should act/move forward but it doesn’t mean ultimately you are right. Only time will tell us who’s closer to the mark. You certainly have a point about it being hard to lay a decisive blow on the...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The Brexit argument is gone - he has at least accepted it and moved past it (wish he’d done the same in early 2019) I want to hear more ideas on post-Covid. There was a bit of it today, but people want to hear how he will stop them losing their houses after furlough is over, or how his idea...
