At this level Chelsea were happy to send Tammy Abraham to Villa one season ago. Also Nketiah was at Leeds earlier this season.

Think he learnt a lot about League 1 in his time here. People slate Russell Slade for the job he did but he had to try something because the squad he inherited was absolutely abysmal. Mowbray had my respect for resigning after ten games though. He knew he failed us that season.

What will be a bit weird is that come the start of the new season our players won't have played for six months. The Championship clubs will have had a very different preparation to us and who knows how the preseasons will compare.

Useful insight. This might have been covered on some of your other posts but I notice Bristol City have made great use of loaning out their players to Leagues 1 and 2 I notice. Obviously we know about Walsh, but I saw a list of about six players who've gone out and done well.

I still think hes worth holding onto and getting a full preseason in him. He's powerful, skillful and has pace. I actually think he could end up being a central striker. Hopefully if we bring in Hamer that might help him a bit as well.
