plan for Championship or Division One football....

Whatever the answer to our long term failure with "proven" managers is, George Graham isn't it. I'd rather go for a young, up and coming manager like Paul Tisdale. He gets the most out of every player and has turned players who were rejects at bigger clubs into gems. Also knows L1 inside out...

    Joe Murphy

Well with Thorn you can say it about one season, with Murphy two plus an other relegation.

    Umm...Remember sisu...

Nah it's much more "hip" to blame the manager for everything now. Blaming SISU is so last year.

    Joe Murphy

He's far too inconsistent for my liking. Say what you like, but the 'keeper who finished bottom of this division is set fair to do so again this season. Lies, damn lies etc? Well there has to be something in such a damning statistic. My brothers all said "Oh God, not Murphy, we're going down!"...

    Why didn't Cranie tackle him?

one thing the "keep thorn" brigade needs to understand......

OK we either 1) Don't have filming rights 2) Don't have access to the film recorded by SKY. That'd cost money too.:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

I thought it was Blackpool at The Ricoh Otis was talking about?

one thing the "keep thorn" brigade needs to understand......

Of course he does, he bloody watches them every week! There's one slight problem with lambasting Thorn for not scouting the opposition: he is our scout. Seeing as they mostly play on the same days as us, that represents a bit of a problem! West Ham probably have a scout at most of the teams...

Juke accusing Forest of dirty tricks

He's their best player IMO: it'll weaken them rather than strengthen them. Maybe they just think having a Church will see God smile more kindly on their fortunes? Which obviously he won't, as he doesn't exist (probably :p).

one thing the "keep thorn" brigade needs to understand......

The argument that having money wouldn't have made a difference is a very silly one. So, you reckon that if he'd have signed 3 or 4 quality players to replace King and Aron (amongst others), and if he'd been able to keep Turner rather than being forced to sell him, it would have made no...

one thing the "keep thorn" brigade needs to understand......

I'm sorry but there are some on this forum who would love to see him fired to the point where they don't like it when we win. You know, those one's that just swear and call him drunk and fat...they do exist! They just go very quiet at these moments. OP-can't you understand that the pro-Thorn...

If City survive this season, would you keep AT as manager?

Yes I'd keep him, BTW. It's the owners I want rid of, obviously.

If City survive this season, would you keep AT as manager?

Well, "2 out of 3 aint bad"! There's more chance of me spending money on Miley Cyrus CD's than SISU spending money on footballers.

    Thorn with money!

It isn't people changing their minds. I think it's more that the people who thought he was doing a great job despite sod all resources still think he is, and enjoy a chance to shoot back given that every loss leads to about 30 boring "Thorn Out" threads, some of which are mainly concerned with...

    Forest

I honestly think we'll win those home games: they are similar to Brighton, Bristol C, etc in quality. It's the away games that could scupper us, but Blackpool at least shows they can almost do it! Tonight we just didn't feel like conceding at the end, and I could only see one side scoring...

    RATINGS FOLKS V Leeds

Sammy out of the way also allowed "Franz" Keogh to carry the ball out of defence more. Actually rather than German, the man plays like a Dutch total footballer. I want to see more of those marauding runs, he's bloody unstoppable! :D

    platt

It was his passing that surprised me. The way he turned and laid it off perfectly out wide for runners every time, brought to mind a certain Mr Regis at times!

    RATINGS FOLKS V Leeds

I thought Baker did just fine. Some of his dribbling and trickery was superb, a return to his early days with us, and I loved the way he every so often just dropped the tempo to walking pace as men ran off the ball. And some of his one-touch passing was immaculate, especially 1st half when...
