    The “too many cooks” theory

If it’s true that the players are finding it confusing with the number of coaches giving information then that is down to Robins. The training ground, changing room, on field instructions is his area of control. He can simplify it if he chooses too. I don’t think the issue is the number of...

Moulding a team in His image

Play 3-5-2 Play Your record signing (Wright) in his preferred position, along side Simms…. 38 goals between them last season and enough Pace and physical attributes to trouble defences. Play wing backs and utilise MVE and JDS. If after 60 mins the forwards are tiring you can bring on Bassette...

Poll: Robins In or Out? Part 2

Robins has credit in the bank until Dec for me but not the whole season. If we are to change, and I hope we don’t need to, then you would give the new manager an opportunity to add in key additions in the January window. I think he’s done a very good job at Cov but not quite the miracle some...

Another horribly disjointed performance …. 2 soft goals. Robins not altering tactics or formation Confused thinking from Robins ….. Simms plays well at Watford and scores and is dropped for Bassette, Bassette plays well and is then dropped for Simms who is dropped for BTA … now Bassette...

I hope BTA scores 25 this season I really do my point is that I don’t think he’s a clinical finisher and he’s 26. I’m not sure how much more we can expect his technique and composure to increase from this age on. he scored 7 league goals the season before last. I’m still confident that if...

Clearly the best combination is talent and hard work but history shows that forwards that work hard but are short on talent don’t consistently score goals …. I don’t buy at all tha hard work alone is the reason for our recent success. Vik and Hamer have an abundance of talent too. Simms and...

If I wanted to watch people work hard with limited talent I’d follow my Amazon driver ! I like BTA, i like all our forwards …. I just don’t get giddy over work rate …

I agree but that doesn’t make them good finishes.

Godden couldn’t run a bath. I’m not fussed over Simms, Wright, Bassette or BTA right now. All to play for. I see this as healthy. I just don’t buy the logic that if a player works hard it makes up for all their other sub standard attributes.
