I agree but that doesn’t make them good finishes.

Godden couldn’t run a bath. I’m not fussed over Simms, Wright, Bassette or BTA right now. All to play for. I see this as healthy. I just don’t buy the logic that if a player works hard it makes up for all their other sub standard attributes.
