The fact you respond with another unbalanced rant is further evidence of my point.

You could argue that the fact we are short in midfield is down to Robins. we know we agreed fees and terms with midfield targets but they chose other clubs. All the owner can do is that. It’s upto Robins to convince them that they should choose him and us over other options …..

Yes I would. He’s got a high percentage of the big calls right and has shown he will bring in expertise to help with the quality of our decisions. However I think Robns will get it right.

I’m old enough t remember the circumstances under which Rob Gurney stopped reporting on CCFC. Getting too close to the thing that you love and seeing its imperfections was too much for him. I don’t doubt that @Saddlebrains or @GIMOC are die hard Cov fans who want the absolute best for the club...

This simply isn’t true is it. None of our players when they have a poor day are light years ahead of the rest, including COH. COH at his best was better than Eccles and Torp at their best but at his worst he was also totally ineffective. There is a reason why COH is still in the championship...

This is not what Robins said. he said we tried, it got difficult due to the number of parties, the cost of the deal, little time to do diligence on the player etc but he confirmed they tried.

@Jimmy87 has confirmed that we tried to sign both a permanent and a loan midfielder this week . It fell through at the last minute. It happens at every club.

It’s pure over reaction. Yes we have not started well. This is not new news for us in the championship under Robins. The window has been a good one. The same approach and recruitment team that were lauded last year are being given dogs abuse now. We do not lack creative players, nor height...
