Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

That would be great if we get a billionaire prepared to bankroll a charge to the premier league in the way Bournemouth but those sort of things don't happen to us. Its absolutely SISUs fault that Wasps are here, had we never left then I'm sure they would have never arrived. The bitterness...

    More from Derek Richardson...

Did you ask any CCFC related question about Wasps at the Ricoh? Did you ask if his move would negatively impact the clubs chances of buying into revenue streams, revenues we need to survive. When he inevitably tell us it doesn't or the move doesn't negatively impact CCFC did you pull him up on...

    The Old Five

Yea someone said it was because we scored 5 most weeks (or alot of the time) under Jimmy Hill when we were rising through the divisions under him.

Safety ? Long way to go yet.

one point will be enough if its off Crewe or Crawley I think

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

I suspect in an ideal world italia would have everyone who speaks out against Wasps banned from the Ricoh and just have himself and his merry men supporting Cov in becoming a scavenger and beggar to Wasps table scraps, he'd have us signed up to a long term deal which entitles us to no revenues...

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

I just think thats the reality of where we are, as I said in respect of ever getting back to the top flight I have given up. That doesn't mean I've given up on the club though I've just lowered my expectation level accordingly in line with the situation we are in.

    Crewe tickets reduced to £10

Fleetwood definitely weren't as I remember it was specifically brought up at the time, couldn't say on the others but I saw nothing from the opposition fans on other football forums I visit about it.

Excuses For Not Going The Crewe Game Thread

Can't afford it alongside my free Wasps ticket, sure it was free but I've got take £20 to spend at the Arena so can't go. Priorities and all that. Tried to buy a ticket for my 3 year old and got asked for a fiver, I told them to stuff it Couldn't work out how to order a ticket online so I gave up

Price reduction : Guess the crowd for Crewe

I'm thinking Crewe should bring a decent following now which will bump it up a little, 10-12k my prediction. People predicting over 15k seems a bit barmy

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

Why would I give up, I love football, I'm from Coventry, what reason would I have to give up? If everyone gave up because of that reason then Crewe, Walsall, Rochdale, Colchester, Port Vale, Scunthorpe, Notts County would have 0 attendances every week. Would you tell there fans to give up as...

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

How do you propose we get CCFC back to where we want them? And please do offer a better suggestion than lets make £5 million a year and have a go. Soon you will have to accept the inevitable conclusion that this, league one is now our level. Best we can hope for is a short stint in the...

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

Just another nail in the coffin to those who think Wasps will do anything that benefits CCFC. Lets not forget they tried to strongarm Wycombe Wanderers into selling Adams Park and building a new stadium they never wanted or needed.

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

That is a question that should be asked, the assumption is they won't because why would they? Logic dictates that Wasps need these revenues to survive so they won't let the club share them. It would however serve to clarify the position to some, but they would probably just choose to ignore it...

    Crewe tickets reduced to £10

I think you can do as many as you want as long as they are offered to away fans as well, you can only do a certain number which are home crowd only offers. Thats what I heard before and this seems to back it up http://www.crewealex.net/news/article/coventry-announce-ticket-offer-2403831.aspx...

How big a club are we?

I agree with you there, we have a bunch of fans who grew up with us in the top flight for 20-30 years and now they believe we are entitled to be there. 8k crowds, no stadium, poor team, poor owners. Sounds like we are exactly where we deserve to be.

    Crewe tickets reduced to £10

Fans who missed the Oldham match due to the traffic(accident?) have also been offered a free ticket for the Crewe match

    ***Relegation Thread***

Thing is if we lost to both Crawley and Crewe they would have a very good chance of finishing on higher than 51 points, Port Vale and Scunthorpe will finish on 51 or higher imo, agreed that Colchester won't finish higher than 51. Then you looking at just Orient an notts hoping they don't get 4...
