    Stan Collymore -Thorn

He takes every opportunity he can to say he loves the club, and also that he thinks the fans have been fantastic-the latter makes it into most interviews. Yet it seems to go unnoticed.

The whole point of saying Manager of the Year, not Month, is that the travails have been with us all season: they haven't just turned up! To climb out of the bottom three despite that, indeed to have kept spirits in the dressing room going when many would have been close to giving up, is why...

McSheff in the Football League Paper

This fella: http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9469322.James_hoping_debut_isn_t_career_highlight/ It just annoyed me a bit in the way that other clubs took Christie from under our nose when he was at Nuneaton. And I can see Blyth from Leamington doing the same. I think it was Leicester and...

McSheff in the Football League Paper

Whereas I get the nonleague one, naturally. I'm still available for that Scout role if SISU want a few pointers on who we can sign for free on under 2 grand a week but who could "do a job" for us. Start by snapping up the lad at Brakes before one of the richer local clubs does. It still annoys...

Ratings In Today's Football League Paper

It really is horrible! First hour frantic, dead for the last two. All the shops are closed, and I've missed lots of football on R5. I thought the lie-in would help make it bearable, but I woke up earlier anyway and spent the morning thinking "tut, gotta go to work in a bit.." And my (Vila...

Cheers, what with Tesco closing at 4, and our new hours, I couldn't read it the shop this week! And yet they've not once said "this is not a library".. Cody deserved an 8 for the finish alone.

    Well Done SISU

Aye, I was thinking that myself! As for SISU..tonight I just wish they had stumped up that 50k for Madine now, he'd be the perfect rotation option for Platty...such fine margins: that's what I mean by not understanding Football Business! They don't do anything long-term, it's just short-term...

It has to be said ...

It's Forum Fatigue: I can reccomend he does what I did, take a break, and not post so often for a bit. It's been a long, tough season, it's taken its toll on most of us, and because we haven't had much realistic hope of signing anybody or having a takeover for the past few months, we haven't had...

Fair play to you mate, you have been a lot more balanced of late. I think you're fighting someone else's argument in this debate: I only said I thought Paxman's post was a bit of a wind up as he posted it and didn't follow it up, leaving everyone else to articulate their outrage..a bit like...

    Fat Freddie scores!

Well he certainly never scored for us as sub, as I mentioned elsewhere, and Cody already offers much more. He might not have his skill and touch, but he's got more determination, pace and goal-scoring instinct. For about a quarter of the wages :D

    Fat Freddie scores!

He was given about 15 seconds to get his shot off by a defender who couldn't get around his bulk to make a tackle, when he did eventually shoot he scuffed it badly, it took a massive deflection, but went straight at the keeper who managed to somehow let it through both his hands and his legs...

Sorry, it's hard to resist what Paxman said! Was that a wind-up post or what?

I meant by strikers. Platt + Cody + Alex = 7? I could work it out goals-per-game but it would be embarrassing! Alex has replaced Lukas in that he perhaps suits us better, but he sure hasn't replaced his goals.

What I mean is if we are thinking about catching Millwall, we will probably already be above Bristol still. Rather than say, losing to them when we play them. We can't really hope to blow it against Bristol and yet still catch Millwall.

It has to be said ...

Well to someone who doesn't rate him, sure. But like Clive just said, you can't blame him when we are doing badly, only to turn around when we are doing well and say it's despite him. I think the recent success just emphasises what I thought before: we have a ridiculously threadbare squad...

The secret to Jordan Clarke's decent defensive performance last Saturday...

The secret to Clarke's offensive performances of late is Getafix's Magic Potions which he tends to drink when we need a goal. Worked both against Barnsley and Pompey :D

    Bristol City

Yep, agreed with that, although still reckon it will boil down to us and Bristol. Forest have lots of quality, and it's starting to shine through. If we can catch Millwall, we'll have caught Bristol as well.

    Bristol City

I can't hep but feel we need to be 3 points above them regardless of the result there. It's such a massive game, that we can't rely on getting something there. I am now starting to worry that we all think we're safe, and we are not yet! Steady chaps: there are always sides who go on a great...
