I think we are misunderrstanding the loan market on here. It is very difficult to get experienced players on loan in the summer cost effectively. It is much more possible in the January window when senior players who have not played much are much more open to a loan, not least if it helps put...

Probably all gone up in value bar Kitchin and EMC and Collins. EMC could still come good. if Wright scores 19 again this season, and I accept it’s a big if, he will go for more than £9m.

He barely started a match from Dec onwards …. Godden, Kelly et al leaving are not why we are struggling this season and if they had stayed they wouldn’t play. By definition they would not therefore have strengthened us.

He was a total passenger after Nov last year. He would be 5th choice this season.

Fighting for every ball, tracking runners, making third man runs, not giving away soft goals would all be an improvement …. It’s not all about passing fluidity. That can come later.

I agree but I’ll leave thinking we have more chance of building on it if we have played better rather if we have been poor again but scraped a win.

That’s fair enough. Owners tend to take a longer term view than that, so do many fans.

I totally disagree. We are 10 matches in, not 5 matches from the end. How we play is important to whether we are turning the corner or not. Winning or losing on Saturday won’t define our season.
