Conspiracy theories:
1) King deliberately got rid of Adi to isolate MR
2) MR didn’t want the new coaching set up
3) MR didn’t sign off on incoming players
4) Loans are banned
5) Older players with no resale value are banned
6) the new manager is al;ready agreed and DK was working behind MR’s...
Your missing my point
I’m saying a section of our fan base are over reacting to the decision.
The same fans who were criticising Robins week in week out now can find no reason to explain why he would be sacked.
It is possible to think that Mark was fabulous for the club over many years and be open minded about whether he had reached his ceiling or not as a manager.
Read this forum over the last 12 months, listen to the CWR phone in or podcasts and they are full of critique on what Robins was getting...
Who ever is on our short list will be affordable. It’s part of the process of going from a long list to a short list. The short lists agents will have been sounded out on likely interest and package expectations.
I think there is absolutely zero chance that the CITY pr team gave Robins a script, or key messages to land And Robins complied even if it was untrue.
MR was always his own man.
Im sure this question will be asked tomorrow night and we will be told we prefer to own and develop our own players but there isn’t a ban on loans and we tried to get a couple in but they fell through ….
He’s on TV now …. Speaks well on the match and indiv player analysis.
not sure what we can read into him being on TV today. Almost certainly a long standing booking.
That expectation was over a full season with a squad and formation Robis had trained. We are now 1/3rd through the season and miles behind the top 6. Expectations therefore can alter.
If you are so blinkered you cannot see Robins has a material part to play in our current under performance then I’m not sure what to say
I like Mark, I wouldn’t have fired him, but I can understand why a different decision was made.
Yes me too.
Its all about who you appoint and where they are on their career curve.
Reid was on the downward curve and acted like he was doing us a favour. We don’t want that.
Who ever we appoint need to be hungry.
