Its not really surprising is it? MR has done a u-turn on his squad size remarks, we've been primed to lose one or more of our better players and the ITK's tell that money will not be reinvested in the squad. Its hardly inspiring.

I think there are way to many assumptions being made here. None of us, even those ITK, were at the meetings MR has had with the owners. The club, Boddy and MR have told us consistently that they want incremental progression. If, at the end of the window, that has not been achieved, regardless...

I think he was just suggesting that if we can pick up Hamer, O'Hare, Vik and Sheaf for relative peanuts, there are plenty more like them we could pick up.

And people talking about us not being able to afford a players wages as if they are going to expect their current wage for the rest of their career, even if they are in decline or in need of a fresh start.

I'm sure it will not have escaped Joy's notice that we picked those players up for relative peanuts and they are now worth many millions. Obviously there are no guarantees but future success relies on repetition of that process. If she trusts MR's judgement that is.
