This is where the Garmin is far better. The daily step goal alters each week based on the previous weeks average. Mine this week is 10450, down from 11200 because I was ill last week and had a couple of days only doing 2000. I think the Garmin overall is a far better piece of kit.

Told you all Carl Baker day was near. Free agent at the training ground the a couple of weeks before christmas.
