    CCFC announcement today

Exactly. Imagine the outcry if Robins had left after a media outlet had leaked we were sounding out replacements And he had confronted DK. City fans would have said he deserved better treatment etc. We hope the next manager will be with us for years not a handful of matches. If it takes a...

    CCFC announcement today

I would argue that Bloomfield is to most and Eustace will be to non uk players. if it really is FL or z Carsley or Keane then I agree However my point was relating to the notion of hiring a guy from lower in the pyramid.

    CCFC announcement today

Desperate stuff. You thought you were being smart asking for my source but hadn’t even considered I might have one or even more. I didn’t reference CCFC players specifically although i;m struggling to see why they would be totally different to the broader football culture, not least because...

My data pool you plank is someone who represents them and someone who employs them. Both relevant sources.

    CCFC announcement today

I think fans underestimate things when they look at managers who perform well in lower leagues 1) the tactical capability you need the higher up the pyramid you go 2) footballers are quite narrow minded. They respect managers who have been there and done it on the big stage. They can be quite...

    CCFC announcement today

IF, and I say IF the preferred candidate was agreed at the end of last week then this week is about finalising details….. DK could have been signing off on these from anywhere around the world ….

    Frank Lampard Rumours

If it was a pre agreed done deal it would have happened bY the end of last week and he would have had this week to work with the players. I don;’t think we have any evidence that Harry and Doug are mates.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

No one has suggested that the club hadn’t considered who might succeed Robins. What was said was that no one had been approached or discussions held. One is succession planning which is very different to actively searching for a replacement.

Right who's the next manager then?

God i hope you are wrong. I know your track record is mixed. Eustace would be a huge disappointment for me ….. no real track record, and no real pull in the market. I hope we are going for at least one of these 2 criteria.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

It doesn’t seem, crazy to me. It isn’t just a case of selecting your preferred candidate. You then need to agree their package, the number of support staff they can bring in and their packages, the transfer budget and policy going forward, etc etc. Ambitious managers will have ambitious...

Right who's the next manager then?

I didn’t say it wasn’t possible for Robins to get us promoted, I think it may have been. Im Saying his track record says it wasn’t probable.

Right who's the next manager then?

How many seasons has Mark managed in the championship ? 8 How many top 8 finishes ? 1 If you want to get promoted that isn’t a good track record. I totally agree that its only the last 2 1/4 seasons has he had a squad that should have made the top 6, but he hasn’t defied the odds in the way...

Right who's the next manager then?

Brighton aside I’m not sure i see much evidence of clubs hiring managers based on data.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

It was a mixed season. Awful start, great middle, 2 fab cup matches, awful finish. Wolves away and United are 2 of my fav memories as a City fan, as was beating Leicester at home …… the rest of the season was very forgettable.

Right who's the next manager then?

Robins total managerial performance in the championship is bang average. It’s not even good, let alone the sort of track record that would give any owner a high degree of confidence that he would get your club promoted to the Premier League. I think Mark has been brilliant for us by the way...
