    Nintendo Switch

Yep, seconded. You don’t get asked to buy anything else once you’ve got it. We’ve had it (Animal Crossing) on the switch since March and the kids have probably just started to lose a bit of interest after playing every day. I still play it though... it’s very peaceful. :)

    Ricoh Lease...

That’s Rick O’ Leese you’re thinking of, Irish U21 striker, plays for Bohemians. Brilliant stats on FM, I’d heard we were interested too. :)

    Wasps downward spiral...

In simple terms, I always thought it was greed that brought Wasps to Coventry, not survival. They couldn’t resist picking up a 110 million stadium and associated leases for an absolute pittance, and then leveraging it to make themselves the ‘richest club in England’ (if not Europe). They did...

USSkyBlue Fellatio Martinez ! missing your posts Ok

I’ve been following this thread for a while now, and hoping against hope that there was some other reason why FM had disappeared. Whether I agreed with everything he said or not, whether we wound each other up sometimes or not, it all feels completely irrelevant now. It seems we’ve lost one of...

    Broad gate 6pm

On the contrary, I think the response should be same - they should be held and arrested. If we feel brave enough as a group to challenge people with knives (allegedly) and pin them in a corner until the police arrive, then why aren't we brave enough as a group to do the same for this kind of...

    Broad gate 6pm

It's funny, because when I watch that video, then from point the police arrive all I can see is everyone else behaving exactly like hooligans - drunken, cowardly ones at that. If you're trying to defend this sort of shit behaviour (or indeed any sort of shit behaviour) by needlessly comparing...

Black Prince pub in tile hill

To go full circle, Jim was a regular in the Chestnut Tree on Craven St. I often bumped into him at the bar, and he always had time for a chat about City. A true gentleman who passed on a little while ago, and though I don’t go in there often it’s not quite the same without him. What a voice!

Black Prince pub in tile hill

I know the square root of bugger all about art, but his stuff looks brilliant to me. A load of those bits of Tile Hill still look exactly like this and haven’t changed since I used go to school round the corner at Templars, a very long time ago... :)

Black Prince pub in tile hill

That’s The New Star. It’s long since been knocked down, but if you look closely through all of the weeds you can still see the old tiled floor of what I assume was the bogs. Every time I go past I think of those ancient Roman mosaic floors they unearth on things like Timewatch... maybe in a...

Black Prince pub in tile hill

I’ve been in there for a pint. Wasn’t too scary, and I’m not exactly a hard nut. I had a quick chat with the barmaid, nodded hello to the locals, drank my beer, went home. Nobody bothered me - I don’t think you’ll get hassled just for being a stranger. Reminded me a bit of the Brewer and...

    Death List 2020

Completely missed this. The Stranglers are brilliant, though I’d (politely) put ‘Get a Grip on Yourself’ as the one that demonstrates how good he was. Kind of like Bach on speed, with some heavy bass for back up. Off to listen to it now...

Coronavirus Isolation - TV Shows to Binge

Definitely. It’s a compelling piece of television... takes a little while to pull you in, but then it’s hard to stop watching.

    Wasps downward spiral...

I think SISU have burnt their bridges with most fans, but if Wasps were to fold up, and the club get the stadium at the sort of price that Wasps paid for it, and we’re back in the Championship, then SISU might find it’s not a bad time to sell... Lots of ifs there, I guess. :)

UHCW Panorama Monday 20 April at 7:30 pm

It might be a bit more scary if you were on the front line and being asked to risk your safety because of a lack of proper PPE and testing. Or having to work hugely long and stressful shifts, without adequate support or training, because of chronic long term underfunding. I can’t see why...

What's everyone watching while on 'lockdown'?

Have to fast forward through Mike’s bits, I’m afraid. Keep an eye out for ‘Flipping Bangers’ if you really like that kind of thing, it’s a bit more realistic...

    Coronavirus

If you think that was a rant, then you want to get your skin checked - it’s looking a little thin. It was an explanation of why a Coronavirus party was a pretty bad idea. I put numbers in and everything to help, because not everybody gets it. It’s important that people do get it though...

    Coronavirus

Letting this rip through the population by having Coronavirus parties is, politely, a really, really bad idea. Even Trump can see that. :) It’s about numbers and the fact that the virus kills healthy young people as well the old. Let’s say you want to get herd immunity by exposing 50% of 50...

Doesn’t anyone remember the chant... “Roland Nilsson’s Aryan Nation” I think it’s was the lesser known second verse to “Big fat Ron’s, Sky Blue Army”... :)
