Match Thread Coventry City - Birmingham City Match Thread - Saturday 27th Sep

Thoroughly professional performance from us today. Obviously helped by the red card, but we were already on top, and 1-0 up before that. Good all round performances, with no obvious weak player. Defence and GK solid, but tbf, they didn't have a lot to do. MVE and Dasilva both excellent going...

I like the idea that if a gk gets 'injured', he has to go off for 5 or 10 mins and the backup gk comes on...no gk replacement ? ...then an outfield player must go in goal. That would soon make the gk think twice about feigning injury.

I know Wilder is a Sheff Utd fan, but you think he'd be pissed off to have been sacked twice by his own club.

Match Thread Coventry City - Norwich City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Sep

Relieved with the draw, but that could easily have been another 7 goal game. So many chances which, against qpr fell our way, but today against Norwich, definitely didnt go our way. We could/should really have won every game this season so far...and i'm not even joking.

If the HT score would have been 0-0, i'd have been hugely disappointed. To be 1-0 down, is just ridiculous. So many times in the box, the ball has just fell Norwich's way, to either block or whack it clear.

2-0. Selles must be nervous of the sack now - doing a terrible job, and benching their best player, Awful (but hilarious) decision to hire him by the Sheff Utd board. Wonder how Gus is feeling now...on the bench at team at the bottom of the table.

Does anyone else feel that we’ve been sold short ?

No - i'm happy. If they'd announced the stadium purchase today, we'd have all been delighted - just a matter of timing.

Compare transfers - Grimes £3.5m vs Sheaf £6.5m No contest...Grimes is superior in every way. £6.5m fee for Sheaf is great business because his injury record is so poor. Can feel a loan in to cover midfield until the next transfer window, unless the club had enough notice of Wrexham approach.
