    Fallen short?

Not sure in truth. Gives me some hope we were reportedly after Jamie Paterson and Tom Lawrence last summer. I know these players don't come cheap but it's been clear as day that the lack of goals from midfield has held us back. Desperately need some pace as well.

    Fallen short?

A couple of decent attacking midfielders who contribute goals could have made a huge difference this season.

    Substitutions

Often critical of Robins for not making changes quickly enough. Must admit not sure what changes I'd have made today. Heard people saying he should have brought Sheaf on - not sure for who. The Blackburn changes at half time had a big change on the game and our defence found it tough to deal with.

O'Hare is a Burden on the Team

Ref's are wise to him as well. Like the boy who cried wolf - so when he actually gets fouled like he did on one of the recent games (on the touchline by the keeper) - ref's assume he has dived.

Completely agree. We have a solid enough base but in this system the two attacking midfielders and the wingbacks need to contribute in the goals and assists column. I'm not interested in how many fouls they win or other nonsense stats. Gyökeres doesn't look a natural finisher to me but he's so...

O'Hare is a Burden on the Team

Infuriates me. It is genuinely seems like he would prefer to go down than back himself to stay up and either execute a pass or shot.

To state the obvious - Quality at the top end has been the difference in most games of late. Feel sorry for Gyökeres at times (aside from when he was throwing himself, corkscrewing through the air) - we need to bring in two decent attacking midfielders in the summer with pace and who contribute...

    Set pieces

Hamers inswinger is a fantastic delivery but we don't use it. The Todd Kane outswinger to the pen spot is rivalling the Shipley drifted ball to the far back corner of the penalty area we had to ensure for about four seasons for the least threatening delivery in football. I genuinely can only...

Honestly don't see anything in Maatsen. Beyond wasteful at wing back. Looks a fish out of water in the attacking midfielder roles, particularly when he has his back to goal (which is understandable).

The outswinging corner as well infuriates me. I fully expect the Shipley drifted ball out to the back of the penalty area back before long.

As angry as I've been with Robins in a long time. Result entirely as a result of this relentlessly impotent formation. What on earth does he think is going to change!? It really is like he tries to get as many non goal scoring players in the team as possible. Swansea are bottom half for a...

Swansea create problems for themselves in every game they play. Makes it even more crazy that we have been sat in our own half holding hands for 45mins. Crazy not to press these. Robins trademark negative away set up as made them look like world beaters.

Set up again is completely wrong. Makes these look like Barcelona. Sit off, one up front, no support. Have set up for 0-0. Don't know why Robins loves doing this so much.

Agree. We showed them far too much respect last time. A lot of people said they were the best team we've played when they beat us at home. I wasn't surprised they got hammeres the following game. They overplay at the back. Hope we go there aggressively and press high.

    Clarke-Salter

Would be fantastic news. Thought he was nailed on to be sold this summer. You think we stand a chance of keeping JCS? Was impressed when we signed him that it sounded like he had other possibly bigger options on the table but liked the sound of the project here.

    Robins Interview

I said this on another thread. Robins set us up like this in most games last season around December. Think we drew 4 out of 5 games 0-0. The game plan is basically hope to get to an hour at 0-0 and then try and be slightly more purposeful for the last half an hour. It shows a complete lack of...

Robins continually goes into his shell and goes for the default containing set up. I can't stand it. We learn nothing other than that the usual suspects in the attacking roles offer nothing.

The next time I see the line up and we have O'Hare and Shipley 'supporting' a lone striker I wont watch the game. Even if I'm already in the ground, I think I might walk out. It honestly like groundhog day - must have watched that exact game probably 10-15 times last season around Christmas. We...
