Not only that, they could've meant that they had budgeted for it accounting for 15% of expected revenues for the forthcoming season, taking into account whatever assumptions they were making at the time.

No worries. I've since set up my own business working with football clubs and their accommodation requirements and it's going ok so far with a couple of clubs on the books. Everything happens for a reason right?! I've just seen so many good friends who are great at their jobs, lose them in the...

Are you retired? Too much time on your hands to prove people wrong. Fair enough. I'm only going by what he told me.

Doing Transfers Differently - Sky Sports article with Chris Badlan

I think Jobello can be classed as a good signing. Kastaneer has something in him, just not set the world alight yet. As for the other two, too early to tell really.

Sorry, I was responding to Saddlebrains who said it will kill clubs off. I said in relation to one club mentioned, that it likely wouldn't, that's all. Totally agree that it's a major issue for the majority of professional sports teams across all sports though. No easy solution. I can see...

Well I've been speaking regularly with their CEO recently who told me that figure himself, so I suspect it's not much higher than that.

There's 1,000s in the industry who have lost their jobs because of those. I get your point in relation to Wasps but I was one who lost their job from the hospitality industry because of this and have seen many, many good people lose their jobs as well.

Gate receipts only make up 15% of Rochdales turnover. Whilst I get your point and agree to an extent, it's not going to be a death knell for every club.

Doing Transfers Differently - Sky Sports article with Chris Badlan

"Fankaty Dabo (Coventry's player of last season), Marko Marosi, Michael Rose, Kyle McFadzean and Callum O'Hare all came in on free transfers, while less than £1m was spent on the club's top goalscorer last season Matty Godden" That line from the article perfectly sums up how great the...

Anyone need a bit of Tiling doing?

Yeah I read a report on the BBC website yesterday about it. Seems he is definitely better now and hasn't had dark thoughts for a few months. He's back playing non-league though which I did wonder if that would piss off ASFC as they terminated his contract but he's now playing again, albeit at a...

    Tommy Hutchison's Birthday

Not old enough to have seen him play but sounds like he was sure something. I have however seen covcity4life's work on this forum and it's something to behold so Happy Birthday covcity4life. Oh, and you Tommy.

He can take his point and mail it over the Atlantic. I think it's more today with the fact that the US call NFL football when 98% of the game is played with your hands. They should be calling Soccer, football and NFL something else (although I know it'll not happen). And maybe the anti-soccer...

Confidence very fragile still? We won L1 less than 4 months ago, we haven't lost a league match since last year, our squad is in no doubt better than last seasons and we've started the Championship well with an unlucky defeat against BCFC (who beat a decent Stoke side this weekend 2-0 away) and...
