More false Coventry council claims exposed over Ricoh Wasps deal-Les Reid

Liblabcon all the same. Labour take high ground yet seem to be at the centre of any treachery. Tory not much better. Labour Council should now help the club, for their own, and the People of Cov's good. I can see this being appealed to EU Court (higher than Appeal court, higher than UK...

    1980 On this day

Don't know if this is true or not, but I was told that CCFC now INFLATES it's actual attendance figure to maximise advertising income (some deals being dependant on number of viewers, akin to pay-per-click if you like). Official Attendance now includes all season tickets (whether used or...

And 31000 probably meant 41000 in the days of cash through turnstiles "possibly miscounted", turnstile operatives squeezing two at a time through for an extra quid etc.

Labour Council. Can't be trusted, waste your money, "make mistakes" with the truth. Keep voting Labour, let your kids pay the bill in the future.

How many are calling for Pressley's head tonight?

He needs to go. He doesn't have the experience and CCFC shouldn't be a training college. Tactical experiments should be done with the reserves, player spats left private, transfers with an eye on the future and squad morale. He needs to go. Sorry, best of luck SP, hope you get a...

Is your town a coventry city stronghold ?

I never could understand why, during the rent row, CCFC didn't use Butlin Road in Rugby. Decent ground, sky blue seats, in an area with mainly Cov fans and easier to get to for the majority. The reserves played there a few years back on a regular basis. They chose Northampton instead and...

Could the club shop be moving to the Ricoh?

Wasps/Rugby must be making a fortune on bar and food as it serves all match. All helped by drinking in your seats of course. Never thought of that. Good call, deffo Makes a big difference.

Could the club shop be moving to the Ricoh?

In the US they do. I'm still stunned that JS has left the running of the club to RR then KD, Onye and now TF/ SW. I really expected some Yank to come in at the behest of JS and take the Bull by the Horns so to speak. I'm not necessarily advocating such, just surprised it's not happened.

An outline idea for a change of CCFC ownership

I agree, the whole thing seems to make sense. Just need a bit of a can-do attitude about all of this. I still think a change of Council is needed.

Tricky beast, planning permission. Can be got around with certain types of developments (care homes, Accademy (not sporting) etc.). Get the right angle presented to the right Council.... I keep expecting SISU to be smarter than they have shown.

An outline idea for a change of CCFC ownership

Just looked, it's part of the Rugby and Kenilworth Constituency in Warwickshire. Tory held marginal. May be pro-development, may be pro sticking-it-to-labourCoventryCouncil. May get permission stranger things have happened. Land in Ryton is worth more per acre than land in Hollbrooks I...

An outline idea for a change of CCFC ownership

Anyway, hate to say this, but I cannot see SISU going anywhere until they plug the hole in their balance sheet. I just don't think that they can. If they can own a ground with some additional entertainment options, get their (AEG?) people in, attract some outside investors to the table on...

Is Ryton CCC or Warwickshire ? Can't remember.

Warren Bufton in that squad? - it's bugging me now, I was about 11 and used to just be able to remember these things.

Just as a matter of interest..............

And wasn't there a striker that used to bang in 25 goals a season in the reserves, made the bench aged about 17 for the first team but never made it into the big time. Matt Jenkins??? God I'm getting old.

Ched Evans signing for a League One Club...

An interesting thing, the price of morals. Ched Evans is a very good player at this level. What would the clamour be if the player in question was, say, David Bell? Probably not the same as for Callum Wilson? What about if Rooney was without a club and an outcast, didn't need any...
