Fab record. I have obviously missed loads of bands out that I like. I just wanted to give a general feel of things, but I love Kraftwerk, Devo, Nirvana, Two Tone stuff, the Foo Fighters, Radiohead....I could go on and on. The only true genre I associate myself with truly is the 60's of the...

    Musical tastes throughout your life

Reading the thread where people are talking about the first band they ever saw and the best gig they ever went to and the next one to come, got me thinking. Have you always been a metal fan/punk/pop person etc, or have your tastes changed over the years? For me, I was a big fan of the Beatles...

Ah yes, I remember. Wonder what they were like without the great man himself. He was such a showman wasn't he. First record I ever heard of theirs was Next and I was blown away by it.

It was 1970, just looked it up. So it was either late 1970 I went to see them, or early 1971

Saying that though, the loudest band I ever saw was the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. That really hurt my ears. Spent the whole concert with my hands over them That was Coventry Theatre too.

    Death List 2023

I didn't find him that funny, but he was a very good host and performer, it has to be said. Not sure I want him to be a national treasure to be honest. 😂 Remember Glitter, Savile, Stuart Hall, Rolf Harris etc.

No, true. I did think the second episode though seemed much lighter in tone and always came across as some sort of comedy caper. I stil liked it, but thought it was at odds with the first episode, which was much darker in tone.

My daughter knows two of the actors. She studied acting with them in Birmingham. Not seen it myself yet though.

Would love to know others' thoughts though on it, because the first episode (pilot) is quite different in mood and tact to the next episode.
