What did CCC / ACL do wrong?

Well regardless of ownership, or who is pulling the strings at the Council, Coventry City Football Club is entirely to blame for its own downfall. Mid 1990's - A Premier League team, own ground not in any immediate need of renovation, not a massive fanbase but solid, not in any serious debt...

What did CCC / ACL do wrong?

Isn't that what due diligence is for?

Thanks for answering that for me (its a better reply than I would have come up with!).

What did CCC / ACL do wrong?

Acl were right to reject the cva as it has since come to light that all information wasn't available to Paul Appleton when he was putting it together. Would you sign something you knew wasn't right?

When that was tried at the Ricoh the likes of you were moaning that protests shouldn't be done during games as it 'upsets' the players.

'Jimmy's Hill' protests having the desired effect!

I just think they would be aware of that, and would only sell to someone with no connections to Sisu at all. Who knows what will happen. I guess it will come down to two things. Who has the most money, and willingness to keep spending it. The Council will have far greater financial resources...

'Jimmy's Hill' protests having the desired effect!

I think the way both sides have acted now means that neither can back down. It would be a PR disaster for the Council if ACL now goes under. I think they will back ACL to the hilt. Also Higgs can now potentially sell their half off to a private company, a company which might have plans to...

'Jimmy's Hill' protests having the desired effect!

We all best hope that ACL is financially secure. If it is they can afford to wait before taking any drastic action regarding use for the pitch area. If they are struggling, then they will have to do something quick with it, which will kill any prospect of Coventry City ever playing in Coventry...

The war is over, time for the peace treaty

That's the point isn't it. There is no justification for playing in Northampton, they could have just carried on at the Ricoh whilst building a new stadium. It just appears to me that they haven't got a clue about how to run a business.

    Reply from my councillor

Can you give us a clue which councillor that is?? I pretty much agree with what he has said, what I would like to see however is the council call sisu's bluff and offer the Ricoh rent free for a year. I dont for a second think they would accept, but it would well and truly show sisu for...

    England U21 tonight 10,000

That is true, but it is likely that the big games that sold out at hr would also sell out at the Ricoh. Man utd Liverpool Chelsea Arsenal Man city Newcastle Villa & possibly more would all sell out, boosting the overall average crowd.
