Having a few beers tonight though after a naff week at work. Still drinking the non-alcoholic stuff most of the time so I’m allowing it as a treat.

5 weeks into a training programme and all going well. Weight down 17lbs on pre-Christmas which is decent, but getting some real strength back now and working myself hard. Been doing 4 mornings a week, 3 more weeks to go of this programme then start another 12 week one.

Interesting that Accrington were held up as the pantheon of consistency last season and people wanted us to be as organised in our roles and responsibilities as them. They haven’t even scored a goal in the league since Boxing Day.

The only one from that list I would take over Robins would be Rowett, and there ain’t a cat in hell’s chance he’d drop down to L1 for us.

Probably my favourite competition of the calendar year. And of course I’ve missed the first 20 minutes of it because I’m out on the beer. Did look the other week and don’t think any of the England Saturday games align with Cov home games so will be the first time in a long while.

Hold on, he hadn’t played since August earlier today so why’s he now played in September? If I’m brutally honest, I don’t think he will be too standout for the next 2-3 games. Beyond that though, I think he will give us that little bit extra and if he proves his fitness I’d love to sign him in...

The tone is set. Meyler will be awful even if he MOTM in every game and scores 25 goals from midfield. Good to know.
