Football was a habit for a lot of people, and the years away have meant many will have lost that habit, And why would they change when you can see all the highlights on line an hour or so after the game for free.

20k is a reasonable estimate, but if you get that for a local (ish) derby and the first game back after 2 years away, then the season average will be considerably lower. If we got promoted there would be an initial increase, but the novelty would soon wear off.
