Ayari and Wright on for Eccles (who’s played decent) and Simms off in the second half to freshen things up

Decent performances all around but lacking a cutting edge. A few half chances, but feel Simms should have rifled that shot instead of side footing it. It would have gone to the top right corner instead of being low and was easily parried by their keeper. Need to win this. .

Would take a 1-0, but hope it’s a comfortable win by a couple of clear goals. Godden will start for sure, but not sure who will partner him. Simms needs to get off the mark and Wright looks more of a threat off the bench I think. If MVE is not available, maybe move Eccles to RWB and the new guy...

Thanks to all for clarifying/reminding who were recruited alongside DaCosta and Hilssner. These 2 names obviously stood out for the wrong reasons, but looking back on it, it’s amazing how good that group of players was considering how little we had to spend.

I’m trying remember who was in the same recruitment batch as DaCosta and Hillsner. Decent people but mediocre footballers.

Ref=0; ball carried out of play a few times by Swansea but ref didn’t see; even occurred in the build up to their goal. Dubious calls in favor of the home side. Strange gosl kick awarded to Swansea when we should have had a corner or free kick when Saka went down.
