Why will they not sell up

I remember reading at the time that SISU were the council’s preferred bidder for the club (I believe there were 5 options) as they were the only party not interested in taking on stadium ownership - though I cannot find the associated article which stated this. This ties in with their short-term...

Why would they offer him a contract like that when they’ve been able to trigger an extension clause? Besides, if they’re willing to pay him £20k a week they need their heads checking. No wonder the game’s completely gone.

I’m of a mind to email Gerald Eve (the surveyors used to carry out the last valuation) with a polite notice, as I’d imagine they will be conducting this one as well. Last time a valuation was carried out their comments were as follows: “Our valuation is totally dependent on the accuracy of the...

They didn’t pay the loan off, they took it on and then refinanced it. I’ll say this til I’m (sky) blue in the face, everyone feared that if SISU got hold of the ground they’d mortgage it to the hilt. That is exactly what Wasps have done and no one batted an eyelid.

    James Wilson

Been reading Aberdeen fans’ reviews of him this last season. Basically saying he’s got a bit of talent and can be class on his day but most of the time he can’t be arsed with it. Too much too young. Not sure I’d want to see him here.

Call to Arms first game of the season.

This is the point though. Certain bits of the commentary are completely missed out to form a certain narrative. I don’t doubt that you’ve innocently not known about the initial plans but we’ve seen people repeat over and over that the rugby club have never had an intention to share. It’s simply...

Did it last year at Bramcote. Planning to do it again this summer. It is bloody hard!

    Boycott serves no purpose.

Couple of errors there. Firstly no income we pay into Otium finds its way to Coventry City Council. Secondly no withdrawals are made from Otium to the directors, so it doesn’t go to Joy either. All money paid into the club assists with the associated business costs, be that player wages...

Make sure there’s materials to back up everything. Wouldn’t go amiss to build a bank of links/info to prove/disprove certain allegations.

Call to Arms first game of the season.

I’ve decided the best course of action is to now find the exact references to these types of things. People need to be educated/reminded of things that have gone on (in a non-patronising sense). There are so many segments of the story that have been theoretically erased from history that the...

    Boycott serves no purpose.

I think it’d be a good way to pressurise SISU to properly pursue the building of our own ground. If there was evidence that work was started but wouldn’t be finished in time for the 5 year timeframe I’m sure at that point there may be more goodwill to look at small extensions.

    St Andrews confirmed!

Can someone please ask him why Wasps moved from Wycombe to Coventry?

    Sky blue shop?

Christ, is this the next scripted angle? We’ve had failure to submit accounts, lack of EFL appetite for groundshare, now we’ve moved on to not having a club shop.

Care to explain how it went from £5.5m for 50% to c.£6.5m for 100%? The quote I initially highlighted says about CCC not being able to keep talks going on indefinitely, and speed being of the essence to enact their intentions.

    Boycott serves no purpose.

‘They’ broke that by liquidating the company. Ergo the company didn’t exist any more and the lease agreement died with it.
