Not really though. L1/L2 rarely sign internationals. They may sign players from other countries who then do well enough to earn a call up. I'd say it's a bit harsh to say that they know the situation when they sign.

Agreed. When my nipper is old enough, we'll be doing the home games. When he's old enough he can go to away games if he so chooses.

Completely agree. Not bothered if people call me boring etc, but there's more and more idiots at away games to spoil it for me. I loved going away in the 80s/90s but not nowadays. Maybe it's just an age thing. I'll stick to home games, wherever they may be in the future.
