Video Mark Robins reflects on Coventry City's 1-1 draw away at Hull 🎙️

Agree with almost all of what he said, but what's interesting is he never mentioned the strikers or their lack of impact. As a manager you'd have to be disappointed that there was no out ball on, when we were under pressure, and none of the 3 strikers were able to hold the ball and relieve...

Relax, after 6 games last season we were winless, 2 pts, bottom of table

He was carrying a knock, but played through it (like a hero) and even if he didn't score, he contributed way more to the team than the 3 fuckwhits we played upfront last night. And let's be honest, when we signed Wright and Simms we thought we were getting 2x Gyokeres mkii, But what we...

Definitely got to switch to 1 upfront. We can't continue to carry 2 poor strikers. I feel sorry for Sakamoto, if he's sat watching that shit show and not getting game time when O'hare and Allen aren't even available, then the reality is he's made the wrong decision to come here, because...

    SIGNED!!!! - Tatsuhiro Sakamoto

Did you see Eccles with the ball at his feet jestering to the strikers to make a move? There was no movement from any of the 3 strikers used last night, which is why another body in midfield that was capable of running from deep was what was required. Wright had his worst game for us last...

    SIGNED!!!! - Tatsuhiro Sakamoto

The game was crying out for an extra body in midfield last night, we had 2 isolated strikers and we couldn't get out of our half for most of the second half, leaving 2 upfront was a fucking disaster that cost us 2 points and the chance of our first away win of the season. What the fuck is...

    Milan van Ewijk Appreciation Thread

MvE is definitely the best of our recent signings, he looks class and is getting better every game, most of our other signings look decent, but obviously Simms and Wright are an issue, but 8 of 10 successful isn't a bad result, it's just a pity are 2 most expensive aquasitions are yet to...

    Signs are looking good

I'm only looking at this season, you can't go back to the days of Gyokeres, Hamer, Doyle Mcnally etc, last season we had some excellent players who carried us to the play offs. Since then I fear we've invested in 2 poor strikers, but you can't say that on here as people are still waiting...

I think changes will be made in January, if not our lack of goals will end our play off hopes very prematurely.

    SIGNED!!!! - Tatsuhiro Sakamoto

I've been a massive fan of MR, but I think he got the big decisions wrong tonight.

I get that, but the lack of impact from Simms and Wright is a massive issue. I'm not talking about goals (or lack of them) I'm concerned about a lack of general quality and work rate. If they were playing well and working hard but not scoring I'd be happy and be patient etc, but I've seen...

Yes, I'm concerned about Wright too. I think he's better than Simms (just) but he's nowhere neat good enough for this league. You could argue that Simms is still young and can learn to improve I guess, but Wright is a big concern.

Go and watch his performance against Exeter, (yes it was a meaningless friendly that meant fuck all) he was shite, and he hasn't improved, he went from first choice to third choice out of three in less that 4 games, if we can bring in another striker in Jan, then he doesn't make the...

Agreed. The issue here is that people on SBT are frightened to admit the blindingly obvious.

Match Thread Hull (A) Friday 15th September

He had a 17 game spell at Sunderland (7 goals) that has influenced everyone's opinion of him, the reality is he's a poor footballer. If you look at Mark McNulty and judge him on 5 months here, he'd be world class, but the reality is he's failed everywhere else. My biggest fear is that...

No he hasn't! He scored 7 goals in a loan spell at Sunderland where they played everything through him. Other than that he's done fuck all. Like McNulty at every club other than here for 6 months.

Simms had a little purple patch of 7 goals in 17 matches at this level, and 1 goal in 11 matches in the Premier league. It's actually a myth that he's proven in the championship. Much the same as Mcnulty who had a good half a season in his entire career.

Godden had a poor game against Leicester that's for sure. But Simms is just a poor player.

I'd play Sakamoto and Allen upfront before trying Wright and Simms. At least we know Sakamoto and Allen can play football.
