Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I thought the shagging computer game characters was the worst Black Mirror episode until I saw this.

    Ashes 2023

I think it’s time to talk about Tests as a fixed number of overs (450/500) and plan reserve days. Only if you get to the end of the overs can you declare it a draw.

    Moving House

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I haven’t read that book and it may well be in there, but looking at the leave vote distribution I imagine that post-industrial towns in Wales, Midlands and Northern England that were totally abandoned by the government of the day will be part of it.

Even if this true, Starmer ‘now is not the time’ mantra is hardly the solution is it?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

49117 voted in 2019 in that constituency 30925 voted yesterday I appreciate that mid term by-elections have a lower turnout, but there were potentially 19000 active voters out there (not counting the ones that didn’t vote in either) and no-one thought it was worth trying to engage some of these??

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

So despite all that Labour couldn’t muster up enough of a vision to inspire 1000 non-voters to turn up to the ballot box and make it all immaterial?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Maybe you’ve just highlighted where Labour might fall short in one sentence. You are essentially suggesting that Labour’s post-election review should be based on a sentence from a Tory MP victory speech, and not considering in any way why they couldn’t rouse another 500 non-voters to make the...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Wasn’t ULEZ a Tory policy implemented by Shapps? So on that premise are you saying the Tories won because they put it in place?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Blaming ULEZ is lazy, considering as well that Starmer came out and supported the scheme a few weeks ago, he’s tried to straddle the fence on it. 900 people voted Green, most of those would have probably have voted Labour not so long ago, until they were told their vote wasn’t wanted.
