I'm getting shedloads now too (on mobile).
There's a permanent banner at bottom (I wouldn't call it small, it's very obtrusive) plus a pop up that reappears even after you close it. Then some threads seem to have an ad in-between the posts.
This is interesting.
Basically, despite obvious flaws & underperformance, he's doing well with his goals per 90 already but what it demonstrates is that he's incredible at getting himself in scoring opportunities.
Now, if only he can convert a few more...
Vidigal is 3 yards out & unmarked with keeper out of position. He could have just headed it into a pretty empty net tbf but, for some reason, decided to turn his back & go for the spectacular. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Surprised his manager didn't hook him there & then.
Yeah, that's basically it. The whole point of xG is to be utilised over a period of time, the longer the better really to analyse. Single game xG & single chance xG will be massively flawed for the reasons everyone is pointing out in this thread. Over a long enough dataset though they are proven...
For once I agree with Carragher. Yes it's a foul by Cucurella which is understandably what Anthony Taylor has seen but it's a foul by Haaland first to get himself into that situation.
I said before the Preston game that he is the one player we have who can pick a key pass & create chances. The problem at the minute is he has lots of deficiencies too. MR doesn't trust him defensively to be played in his preferred deeper midfield position where he could do a bit of the Hamer...
Most of the top PL officials only do 1 or 2 per year (excluding big Playoff games etc.) plus Taylor is often refereeing in Europe as well so probably not that unusual. When did Michael Oliver last do a regular EFL game?
