    The Trust..?

I remember in 2008 Mick McCarthy claiming them to be the most unprofessional people he's ever had to deal with. They put the blame back on him. Seems they've been doing that since day one.

    Lowest Ever Coventry City Attendance?

My understanding is its perfectly legal for the council to state they want sisu out. Its a free country and if the peoples representatives do not support the leadership of a leading business in the area they are perfectly entitled to shout that view from the roof tops, so long as they do not...

    Blaze offer for City fans

Yes you can own multiple clubs, I don't know enough about it to know how that works in practical terms. I imagine there must be rules in place to prevent one club just sucking the other dry?

    Blaze offer for City fans

But if you owned the Blaze, would it not be better to provide the Blaze with a local rival to generate big games? Surely you would just go and set up a second team in Brum? Its just the same way that the Blaze bought the Hull Stingrays a few years ago. The Stingrays were about to go under and...

Guess the gate for Hartlepool replay

I am expecting a big gate (by the recent pathetic standards anyway) on Boxing day. Ricoh/HR crowds used to shoot up Boxing day, also Posh will take plenty I imagine.

    Blaze offer for City fans

That would make brilliant sense. Blaze v Brummies would be a cracking atmosphere, and generate plenty of ££££££££.

    Blaze offer for City fans

Based on what, because that's what they did before? The Blaze are financially stable now, have an average attendance of between 2-3k, and play in a modern, sound arena at the top level. When they were in Solihull, the club never knew if it would last till the next season, had an average crowd...

Its not American, it was invented by us! I'm not sure now, but I used to go regularly and then around half the squad would be home grown. It is limited by the league as to how many "imports" you can have.

    Blaze offer for City fans

Well I certainly agree with the Warwickshire thing. In practical terms Coventry is in Warwickshire anyway as far as I'm concerned, the West Midlands only really exists for the Police and Fire nowadays. With the wards, the councillors are still representatives of the city as a whole. For which I...

    Blaze offer for City fans

The only bit I disagree with you on is the final bit. I would say the vast majority of those calling for an empty sixfields are not doing so out of some anti-franchise thing, more just to highlight that we as fans are not prepared to support the idea of our team playing in Northampton. That's...

    Blaze offer for City fans

But your saying those that go to the Blaze are supportive of franchising sports teams. Surely then you are saying those that go to Sixfields also are? You cant have it both ways. I have no issue with going to the Blaze, they are a Coventry team now (one that has brought more trophies to our...

    Blaze offer for City fans

No. Coventry is a city and a metropolitan borough in its own right. The authority of Coventry is a single tier government where no other authority is recognised. London has a two tier system of government where the Greater London Authority represents the city as a whole, whilst the London...

    Lowest Ever Coventry City Attendance?

I would have thought that sisu's only chance of winning is if they can prove the council used public funds to specifically stop sisu buying the arena. As for the rest of it, ACL makes money, that council is charging interest so it will make money, and a public asset is secured. So I can see...

Not really no. London is made up of a number of Boroughs, each of which have their own identity and many were once their own town. Coventry is one city.
