He's just a bloody good manager. Northampton just didn't work out (it might for Aidy, feels like a good fit..). He had done decently enough at Peterboro, and Bristol City haven't come close to challenging for promotion since he left.

Played for both Yeovil & City?

In fact that Yeovil promotion team is riddled with players who went on to play at Championship level. Williams, Lockwood, Weale, Johnson, McIndoe. It shows that we shouldn't be complacent-who knows, maybe this Yeovil team has players of that calibre, as-yet unheralded?

Just! It was looking up that link wot did it. 13 goals from McIndoe, incredible...

Played for both Yeovil & City?

The one, the only, the legendary...Michael McIndoe. Was the best player in non-league whilst at Yeovil. Did a Judas on them and left for BSP promotion rivals Doncaster. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002%E2%80%9303_Yeovil_Town_F.C._season

He totally transformed Yeovil's season when he went back. "The idiot" has got his mojo working again and is not to be taken lightly!

Scott Barron rejects Coventry for Brentford...

If there is a single thing we can be certain of this season, it's that we will finish above Gillingham. And the rest of L2.

I remember him having pace, but then it may have just seemed that way against the ageing likes of Hall & Wright at the time...

I think he can play "in the hole", too.

Dang, if only we can snap up Cagney as well, we'll have a great double act! Sorry...

YES PLEASE! Pace, at last. He was a well-documented Coleman target when Thorn was scout, so this makes some sense.

I heard it as a very clear message that he has someone in very advanced talks who isn't Polo, and no-way was he going to tell us who it was. That implies it's someone good :claping hands:

Harrison, Deegan and Clingan? Not Platt, Keogh or Cranie, all of whom he's spoken well of and wanted to keep. On "squad players to leave", he didn't say that, he just didn't rule it out. I'm thinking ROD & Jeffers, possibly on loan, maybe some other youngsters loaned out, and particularly if...

Yeah, I'd agree with Murphy now you mention it. I dunno why but I picture Sheff on a table with Bell and Baker for some reason...

"Nimely to Premiership" might shut up a few people who dissed him! Poor lad was kicked to bits after his first few games for us.

He's choosing his words wisely. He won't win any eloquence awards, but what he's said has been right on the money. I think that's a lot more important than being pretentious. Footballers don't want an Oxbridge graduate lecturing them, they want a football man. Shaw will be a great asset, along...

Who sits at the Captain's Table?

Thorn spoke at the forum about how all the "leaders" at the club sit at the same table in the canteen now, saying something like: "A teams nucleus finds itself-they gravitate to each other" (meaning off the pitch). So, who do we think dines at the Captain's Table? My money would be on...
