    Emperor's New Clothes

Do you know what the signing on fee and agent fee was? You cannot say he'll cost us around £3m without knowing that info. I doubt his signing on fee and agent fee combined is close to £1m.

    Waghorn to hudds

I said he was an 'ok' signing...he didn't exactly set the world alight. But he was a good partner for Gyo at the beginning (but I've said that about 5 times and it's still not resonating).

    Waghorn to hudds

I think my point still stands. Before he got Covid, he was still a good partner that got some good stuff out of a raw Gyo. Given our budgets and owner at the time, he was an OK signing and did OK. Certainly not deserving of some of the nonsense on this thread.

    Waghorn to hudds

I'm not clinging...a few posters on here have mentioned it. He obviously hasn't been the same since Covid. Before then, maybe he didn't smash them in regularly. But he was a great foil for Vik. If I had the time I'd look for those match threads. I suspect the feedback on them is positive and...

    Waghorn to hudds

Which he deserved when he was playing well. He then got ill and as his employer, the club had a duty of care to pay his wages whilst he was ill and recovering. Like they do with O'Hare, like they do with Godden, like they do with McFadzean etc etc

    Waghorn to hudds

Can't believe the negativity around Waghorn. He and Gyo had a great partnership up until he got Covid. He obviously has some form of long covid that affected his performances since. Good luck to him...I hope he does well. Also well liked amongst the squad. Players normally react poorly with...

    Transfer Rumour Outgoings?

TBF, Gyokeres has received interest from other clubs but is 'apparently' staying.

    New shares issued.

Yeah but this is like one step forward, 3 steps back!

    Josh Eccles New Contract

Yeah, kind of agree. And I wonder - does MR get a say in contract length or is it the board who decides? Or a combo of them both?!

    Josh Eccles New Contract

I guess MR who sees him day in, day out, thinks he's got a decent future ahead of him and wanted to get him tied down to a decent deal. Slightly surprised it's not a 2 or a 3 yr deal mind.

In laymans terms for simpletons like me? When you say above charges have been settled, is that saying Doug has actually paid off outstanding debts?

Right, I've admitted G might have been right - my point stands that little staff resource means less activity - that's simple GCSE stuff to be honest ;-) But if there's more staff, we should expect more and if it's not happening, it should be questioned. Fully agree with all of that. And...

See the above post. Happy to admit when I'm wrong G....take a leave for those occasions when you're not on the ball....

If that's the case, then I partially concede my resource point G. Knowing that Sisu had cut their cloth accordingly and reduced manpower down to a minimum, it fitted with less marketing than we'd like. If there's more manpower than I thought, then fair enough, I agree with you.

I don't disagree. Sisu chose not to pay that, I'm not disputing it. Could DB have said up the chain that investing in that would give good RoI? Yeah. If you pay peanuts though, you get peanuts. If you have a younger apprentice as you state, would they be skilled enough to try and get supporters...

Perhaps SISU didn't want to pay £350 a day. Contractors can be hit or miss to be fair but that's by the by. The club has plenty of sponsors - I assume Hornby and Scope are involved with those but I don't what their day to day diaries look like. Could they be doing more? Probably? Could I do...
