    The Club Shop

It's not really embarrassing to be fair. It's poor, but it's not embarrassing. What people need to remember is that the club has been run on a shoestring for years (rightly or wrongly). Not enough staff to spend time thinking up a list of what could sell, not enough resource to likely buy the...

    Saudi Arabian League

The Chinese had the resources as well. Maybe not the oil, but they're not exactly cash poor. That league isn't exactly attracting the worlds best players.

    O'Hare

He might have jarred it or something as I saw him on the Friday before the final and he was walking just fine. I was actually shocked by how well he was walking. Not that I've got any experience of such injuries but just by looking at him walk, you wouldn't have said he had a serious knee injury...

    PGA Tour

I think that's a smokescreen. The most recent TV deal for the PGA was something like £1bn. Its estimated that Covid took up about £200m of cash reserves. There's a lot more to this deal than meets the eye. Antitrust is going to be a big hurdle on this one.

    Saudi Arabian League

It's a carbon copy of the golf world. The Saudi sportswashing move continues at pace. There were some golfers, unfortunately mainly the Europeans, like Poulter, Westwood and another hero of mine, Graeme McDowell who once they moved, said they were trying to grow the game, the Saudis were making...

    PGA Tour

I don't think golf has progressed at all with LIV. Before yesterday, the game has been fractured since it came along. It took some of the best players (really only 3 or 4...the rest were in the twilight of their career or relatively lower ranked players) and meant that standard PGA Tour event...

    Season Tickets!!!

Conversely, those who might not have got a ticket a couple of weeks ago, might have seen how great (ish) the last 10 days have been. It works both ways.

    Season Tickets!!!

Yeah, I get that - running my own business and all that. But if someone wanted a season ticket two weeks ago, they're likely to want a season ticket in two weeks time. If they don't, they don't. There'll be people who may not have wanted one a couple of weeks ago for whatever reason but will...

    Season Tickets!!!

I agree with that to be fair. But regardless of when they're released, if you want to get one, you get one. It does help with budgeting though, you're correct.

    Season Tickets!!!

Yeah but if you want to go, you want to go. It shouldn't matter when they're released (although I do concede that if 90 other clubs have done so, then it does seem strange). Whilst the city might not be buzzing (sh!t term), those who said they'd want to get a ticket should still want to get a...

    2023-24 New Kit Thread

Which surely means the kit will be delayed by a while? It says they're in conversation with potential sponsors but are inviting other companies to come forward. Wouldn't fill you with confidence if you were one of those already talking to the club?? Can't see a new kit coming in the next...

    Consolidation

Yeah but I've given the example of the parachute payments and Norwich - it doesn't mean they'll go up.

    Consolidation

Chelsea spent £600m and won f*&k all. Money spent doesn't always equal success. Norwich had over £30m before last season with a parachute payment. We got to the PO Final - they didn't.

    Retained List

I'm pretty sure they were aware of the situation that would unfold at the end of the season and have been planning on two potential scenarios depending on the outcome of Saturdays game. They know what pond to fish in now so I hope they'll be straight on it. I guess the issue us that we might...

    Attendances next season

Just depends how many of our home games are midweek I guess. Not sure if there's a rule that says xx% of midweek games need to be at home over the season and xx % need to be away. The more away midweek games, the better our average home attendance.

    How much money?

I think it's 15% of profit. So if he goes for £20m, profit £18.5m (if it only includes a reported £1.5m fee), then Brighton would be due around £2.8m leaving us around £15.75m. Even if MR gets half of that (and it's spent wisely), that would be enough to replicate this season as a minimum...

    How much money?

He's had two promotions, one Wembley cup win and is our club captain. I would think 10k isn't too far off the mark.
