Oh, you called be boring, man that hurts so much :(

Rubbish midfield since relegation from Premiership

Don't underestimate the impact the collapse of the Football League TV deal had: the majority of clubs found themselves with obligations they suddenly couldn't meet overnight when that happened.

Is that why Hutch was on the bench most weeks? ;) Birmingham were deffo interested, at that stage Doyle was our best player after Sheff. It's just he was good at all the un-glamorous stuff. Once his game dropped, his crap passing technique stood out more than anything. I still think he was...

OK, instead of Stalinist, I'll spell it out: you're saying there's no debate to be had if it doesn't fit with your opinion. Anybody who disagrees with you is just wrong.

Could Coventry be shut out of Ricoh?

Hmm, not too much of the usual spin. Or tub-thumping like a drunk Uncle dancing who just doesn't get it that he's not down with the kids. Yeah, they rushed that one out pretty sharpish. I'd say there's a fire behind this smoke somewhere ;)

Totally agreed that the pay-cheque killed Hughes' desire, he wasn't interested after that. Much worse than Sideways Sammy for negative, "safe" passes! With Doyle, he had a good season under Adams when we had our highest finish since relegation. Unless I'm mistaken, didn't that in turn earn him...

    So, league favourites tomorrow night

    Cockroach should enjoy that, then.

Maybe in your Stalinist world, but the rest of us will have a debate, thanks.

If you were in the trenches with us, we'd send you over the top on your own. And without a bleeding smoke bomb to give you cover at that! Talk about lowering the tone, some of your posts are worse than that hooligan twat who was on earlier. If you want "interesting", go to a gallery and be...

I know, but it's worth reminding people: both won City Player of the Year in their time at the club. So, they did something right...

Could Coventry be shut out of Ricoh?

Didn't know you supported SISU FC: what division are they in again?

    Same old City

I'm reasonably certain that all of the catering staff in the ground on matchdays are temps: I've never been served by the same person twice, and I go to the same stall every week. OK the service is crap, but if they can have temps, why can't we for a few weeks?

Could Coventry be shut out of Ricoh?

I think it would be terrible, but if I was ACL it's exactly what I'd do. Two can play at hardball! That it's even a possibility is entirely, categorically, SISU's fault. I'd love to see someone argue that it isn't...

    Same old City

Exactly, they're short staffed as they've laid off too many in a bid to save money. It's exactly the same in my work-place, and it's hell.

    Line up v Sheffield United?

I like the idea of shoving the DMC forwards so he's on the same "line" as the other two, then it's a three spread out enough to get some width.

As my wise old Yoda of an Area Manager once said, "Try to catch people doing something right now and again" ;)

    Observations from Saturday

Great point, I learnt this from Football Managers H/T and pre-match team-talks :) As a (non-football) manager in real life, it's exactly the same: some people need almost constant supervision, either to re-assure them, instruct them, or to put them on the right track. A lot ofyoungsters or...
