Yes, could be a chance for some of the fringe players to stake a claim, and the dead wood to get a run out. Walker, Waghorn, Tavares, Palmer, Doyle, Rose, Wilson, Kane, Reid, or that LWB lad we got on loan etc etc Might be worth a cheeky £15 if there's nothing on TV that night.

I wouldn't drop either as they are our best two strikers, but inevitably one (or both) will pick up an injury, or a suspension or just need resting, at which point I'd like to see Tavares given a chance. We know Waghorn and Walker arnt the answer, but maybe, just maybe Tavares is.

It's a slow process, we've been in league 2 not that long ago, followed by seasons in exile. The fact that we've sold record numbers of season tickets shows good progress, but it will take time to get a full ground regularly.

Not his best game yesterday, (not the only one though) but he'll learn from the experience. Playing him at LWB isn't doing him any favours. He's a great player to have on the bench, and would be cover for Sheaf, and would probably be a better option than Allen if we need to see a game out.

I was impressed with his movement and pace yesterday, he certainly looked ready for more first team action, and looks a great option to have on the bench. We could do a lot worse than trying him as a number 10 in the cup game. I dont want to get carried away, but It would be great if O'hares...
