Labovitch on BBC CWR at 6 tonight

Very true, the club doesn't need the freehold, it needs the income streams. Its sisu that need the freehold.

Labovitch on BBC CWR at 6 tonight

Nothing against Eakin, but he's hardly Paxman or Dimbleby. Considering Labovitch used to work in Tony Blair's spin department its a bit embarrassing for him to be mauled by Clive Eakin.

Labovitch on BBC CWR at 6 tonight

That's a blatant lie for a start. It was ACL that tried to do that. A completely separate private company. (Or do sisu only consider ACL and CCC separate organisations during Judicial Reviews?).

New stadium press release from Sisu?

    Smug twat. Not you Hill!

    Sixfields.

Sounds like your corrupt council is partaking in state aid.

    A Question for The Accountants

Next time grendel refers to acl as a quango then can you remind him of this? As I'm sure your aware a quango isn't a private company.

    A Question for The Accountants

It's only state aid if the money is going to a completely separate private company. The council handing the Ricoh over to sisu for free would be state aid. What the council will argue is that they have protected their investment in one of their projects.

But that's not illegal, and if that's the strength of sisus argument the JR would be over in 5 mins.

    Fickle Fans

Surely real fans go and watch their team regardless of the division their in?

    Fickle Fans

    How exactly?

    Fickle Fans

Not technically true, odd crowds may have dropped to 8k, but in the top divison the lowest it ever got was 10k. In fact until this year the lowest it ever got in any division was 9k.

    Fickle Fans

Maine Road had a capacity of 35k, some 12k higher than their lowest average. Filbert St had a capacity of 22k, some 7k higher than their lowest average. Southampton you have a point, but they still had a low average of 17k in the championship at St Marys.

    Fickle Fans

Apart from Sheff Wed and Forest I don't think many can be classed as less fickle than us.

    Fickle Fans

There seems to be a few amongst us who believes we are the most fickle fans in the country and that is the cause of our downfall. However this argument can be completely flawed simply by looking at the figures. Definition of fickle fans: A group of fans who turn up when things are going well...

Sky Blue Sports & Leisure 2013 accounts

Do you mean the same Leeds who's attendances are currently 45% lower than they were 10 years ago? Or perhaps you mean the same Man City who's attendances are currently 40% higher than when they were in the third tier? I'm assuming you must mean completely different teams as only Coventry...

Less than a year to build??

Are we talking a year for the actual construction? That's not really that impressive considering the Ricoh was built in about 18 months.
  17. bigfatronssba

Less than a year to build??

Why would sisu build a new stadium just to dismantle it again? I know their less than blessed in the business acumen department but surely even their not that stupid?

The nature of a football club

Do you disagree with Mark Labovitch then when he says a club has to own a freehold in order to be successful?
