Micky Adams and the Curse of Expectation

Wait, what?! I obviously missed something!

Micky Adams and the Curse of Expectation

Ignoring the bit about two up top and keeping Godden in instead of Palmer... You keep trying to make your posts suit your argument 🤣

Micky Adams and the Curse of Expectation

I don't think MR will change formation...he's obviously trying to get this set of players playing in a certain way so I don't think he'll undo the efforts by changing it right now. But I'd give it a go. Ayari/Palmer...not sure who I'd start next week. If really pushed I'd maybe stick them both...

    We’ll finish top twelve

It should be yes, but we're 8 games into a 46 game season.

Micky Adams and the Curse of Expectation

Are you saying MR didn't benefit from two signings - who many would argue, did carry the team?? Odd stance. Like I said on another post, out defence is currently top 10 in the division (based on goals conceded). Hardly meltdown time. Granted, we need more (and I've expected more) from the HW...

    We’ll finish top twelve

I know we all 'expect' a good season but the league doesn't work on expectation - or necessarily correlate with the money the ST sales bring in. I don't disagree that many will get annoyed but actualities need to be tempered by realism. And I'm not sure how you say we've spent more on these...

    We’ll finish top twelve

The impact of losing your two best players and a combined 50 goals/assists, obviously tempers the money spent, regardless of how it's spent.

    Biamou

He's an international striker - he's obviously having a stinker at the minute to be fair.

    Biamou

Right - and hopefully with more support from the coaching team and the fans will give them more confidence. They're obviously talented.

    Biamou

Give it a rest FFS. In the grand scheme of things, they're both in their infancy as far as their Cov careers go. They both know how to score goals but both are obviously devoid of confidence - hopefully Simms will have gained some last night. I liked Biamous efforts and he scored some...

Micky Adams and the Curse of Expectation

The frustrating thing is, many have known this was going to be a tough season, losing our two best players with a combined 50 goals/assists between them. Add to that, our luck with injuries to key players continues to shaft us. Although we all knew it was going to be tough, seeing it play out...

Allen was pretty good last season?

To be fair, our squad needed more depth and it now has more depth. Those 4 players, despite being with is in L1, have all done well for us in the Championship.

No other team has drawn as many games as us in the top 3 divisions. And we're not going down FFS. It's not great at the minute but with Allen to come back even more, Sheaf to come back, O'Hare to come back, Van Ewijk to come back, Simms hopefully picking up some confidence after tonight, we're...

At least Allen is back. Every cloud and all that.

Feels like draw #57 of the season. Fuck sake.

It came at him quite quickly to be fair. Didn't look great though.
