Disappointing, but still in our hands

Where did I admit I was wrong, I've always recognised and understood your point that theoretically it is out of our hands but was saying that realistically in the real world it is still well within our own hands. You'd have known that if you read it properly instead of jumping down my throat...

Disappointing, but still in our hands

Cheers not sure what I've apologized for but I won't spoil it for you, take this as a lesson in learning to listen better to others and we could have avoided the last 3 hours.

Disappointing, but still in our hands

It was only what I've been saying from the beginning, glad we've cleared up your confusion

Disappointing, but still in our hands

Yes theoretically not in our hands, but realistically once you rule out the impossible set of results it is in our hands. Glad we cleared it up. Don't get riled up again.

Disappointing, but still in our hands

Don't think anyone was misusing the phrase, just using it in a different way. You are saying its theoretically out of our hands as if we win all our games we could still not be promoted which is theoretically correct. I'm saying realistically it is in our own hands still, as if we reach 95...

Disappointing, but still in our hands

I'm saying thats impossible, that would mean 3 teams would finish on 105 points or more. Theoretically and statistically its possible but when you consider all the other variables in a football match over a 19 game period its impossible in the real world.

Disappointing, but still in our hands

So do you, we're both stupid for having this discussion it seems.
  8. SkyBlue_Bear83

Disappointing, but still in our hands

I'm saying it is in our own hands because if we win all our remaining games then 100% of the time we will be promoted.

Disappointing, but still in our hands

We can reach 105 points maximum, the only way our destiny would categorically be out of our hands would be if you believe 2 teams can get over 105 points at the end of the season. Now theoretically this could happen but in reality it has 0% of happening. I get the concept but its not one worth...

Its clearly yes to anyone who uses common sense

Disappointing, but still in our hands

Firstly the top 2 get automatic promotion which is what this was about, so we can finish behind Burton and still be automatically promoted. So Burton could win every game and we could still be automatically promoted in your scenario. And yes, our destiny is in our own hands. If we reach 95...

Disappointing, but still in our hands

I should really avoid this forum when we don't win, groundhog day

Disappointing, but still in our hands

Yes, true statistically they are in a better position than us but with 19 games to play there are still a lot of twists and turns and variable yet to come into play. There are still 4 months of the season left, the points difference could easily be wiped out over a 2 week period. A lot can...

Disappointing, but still in our hands

Your talking about theoretically, football isn't played in theory. In reality, automatic promotion is still well within our own hands.
  15. SkyBlue_Bear83

Disappointing, but still in our hands

Nobody is in a strong enough position to say it is theirs to lose. And the current top 2 can not both win all their games as they have to play each other.
  16. SkyBlue_Bear83

Disappointing, but still in our hands

Don't agree, the top 2 are not going to gain enough points between now and the end of the season to the extent where they are unreliant on teams around them dropping points.
  17. SkyBlue_Bear83

Disappointing, but still in our hands

No team is in a good enough position with 19 games left to play to say it is there's to lose. Both automatic places are up for grabs for any of the top 5 still.

Disappointing, but still in our hands

19 games left so a lot of football to be played, too early to write off automatics. I'm still confident we can do it.

    The pitch

Seems a bit stingy from the richest rugby club in the world that the pitch is falling apart after 6 months.

    The pitch

What are the supposed life spans on these pitches? Can't see Wasps replacing it again in the summer, in 12 months times its going to be terrible. What technology do Bristol City use for there pitch. They have a rugby team play on it and it always seems to be perfect when I've seen it.
