    SIGNED!!!! - Tatsuhiro Sakamoto

Signing Bright from India is a close as we’ve got I think. What a waste.

Don’t know if a variation of this has been posted, but there are often 2 parts to a player cost: 1) Signing fee / Transfer fee 2) Weekly (monthly) Wages / bonus —— 1) The transfer fee for a player on a three year contract (say £1m Gus) over 3 years works out, what, 7k per week? By paying...

Any wage structure that had Waghorn earning what he did needs to get in the sea.

I’ve seen the same. Is it wrong to actually hope he needs surgery and won’t be fit before the transfer window closes? Someone needs to put rumours out that “Gyok is crock” If we’ve got a fit Cal, Gus and Gyok early next season we can cause mayhem. 3 best players to pull on a Cov shirt in...

Move to “ex player watch?” I thought the guy had potential tbh. Did a job for us when we’re were at our lowest ebb.

Give Gyok the 30% to sign an extension.

If this is the case (and I’ve no idea and no reason not to believe you) then does that include commission on new contract with current club? Could be an angle.

    TRANSFER RUMOUR - Lee Buchanan

I think the thing that will irk many is that Bidwell didn’t go 6th. He’s one of our “dead ball” takers, and is characterised as calm. Dabo is neither of those things and to my mind had no business being 6th in line. It’s ifs and buts. Yes. I would have fancied him to get it on target more than...

    TRANSFER RUMOUR - Lee Buchanan

Bidwell is ok. Just ok. Decent toward the end if the season but below average for much of the early season. Just my opinion. Attacking wise he’s not Maatsen or McCallum. He’s a left back not LWB. He’s 30. If we get a half decent fee then offski he goes. Buchanan 22? Potential to develop.

Or MA comes in, hands GH, VK, Ben S etc. bumper contracts…. (Partial wishful satire) Off piste, no Betting shirt sponsor… What odds we get Sports Direct all over the front as a makeweight for rent?

He would have stayed but for the pen miss - he said so himself (when asked if he’d stay he replied “if you are in the Premier League” at a fan forum). It’s if we can get him to give us another year that is the question. It’s a question of money. What is the number? A million quid a week...

Tricky / interesting thing football finance. Signing on fees, bonuses, insurance, lifestyle clauses, image rights. In older times star players got % gate fee. I admit to not knowing too much so I’m going to do a bit of research over the close season whilst there’s no footy on. We all...

Absolutely right - but if we had a longer extension then we could command top money.

If we had a set wage structure then I agree. Many clubs have star players earning more. In the case of Vik and Gus, not many players would begrudge them being on more than say, Jamie Allen or Burroughs. That they should be on the same isn’t realistic or logical. I think everyone agrees that...

All big contracts are a risk. Vik doesn’t strike me as a Spoons guy or the type to go off the rails. Career ending injury can be insured against I think. A risk. Like all football contracts. This one has big upsides and big downsides.

Problematic I guess. (However a similar deal for Hamer could work) Do they have such a clause does anyone know?
