    Sixfield rent

Ian, no one is disagrees that revenues are important for the club. However, that has nothing to do with ownership, or even a long lease. It can be achieved whilst still under a rental agreement. I have yet to hear the argument of why the club needs to own the freehold, or even a long lease.

    Sixfield rent

Also Hull City, Wolves and Leicester are all clubs that didn't own their grounds but have been the subject of a takeover in recent years.

    Sixfield rent

Yet Leeds United managed to be an attractive proposition despite not owning Elland Road.

    council hating rally sweepstake ???

I respect them for at least trying to do something, even if I don't agree with it. I have no objection to applying pressure on the council, but imo it should be something more specific other than let's get everyone in a room and talk it out.

    What would you have done?

The year is 2003 and you are a senior Coventry City Councillor. Ccfc are in trouble and are asking for help. They need a new stadium. The options available to you are: A). Ignore the club's request for help. It is a private company and nothing to do with the council. However this will...

How much is the Sixfields Rent?

OSB might be able to confirm this for me, but iirc at the Ricoh the club owned 500 parking spaces which it would sell on for profit each match day. Therefore the revenue gained from parking at Sixfields is unlikely to exceed what the club was making at the Ricoh.

I think it was a joke.

If the Higgs share is worth &6.5 million

They might well be. I think its unlikely, but I am not a property expert.

If the Higgs share is worth &6.5 million

Where have I ever claimed to know what its worth? All I have ever done is quote what Higgs think its worth. Unlike you I dont claim to know things such as these. However one thing I know for certain is this. Just like all of us on this forum, YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT ACL IS WORTH. The...

    How much is CCFC worth?

The club is worth whatever sisu is prepared to sell it for.

    Fit and proper?

If you only care about the club why have you devoted an entire thread to a director of a charity that has nothing to do with the club?

    Fit and proper?

I thought the balloon incident was pretty funny. At least it shows he's human. Im always suspicious of people who have never got drunk and done something silly. Its like they are scared of letting their true personality out.

    Fit and proper?

He said sisu should stop acting absurdly. Apparently that's childish.

    Fit and proper?

Dodged the difficult question again. Well done.

    Charity Value of its share

Your right of course. But that exact same argument also applies to the club. Sisu put money into something that is now worthless, yet they wouldn't take Hoffman's £1. If your saying Higgs are wrong to not sell at the actual value, then so are sisu.

    Charity Value of its share

Let's assume a businessman starts looking at investment opportunities in the "Coventry area". Acl a value of nil with £14m debt. Ccfc a value of nil with £60m debt. Immediately acl is looking the more desirable company to take over. That being the case acl is more valuable than...

    Charity Value of its share

Nothing unfair about it, but Joy has said she wants a return on her investment. I'm not talking about practicalities here, just principles.

    Fit and proper?

Do you mean this comment? "It is unfortunate they want to continue behaving absurdly.” Do you disagree then that moving to Northampton is absurd?

    Charity Value of its share

Ah that old one. Let's have a few independent valuations of Ccfc then, and force sisu to sell to the fans or any new owner at the average value. Does that sound like a decent compromise?

ACL has "net value of nil"

I was saying that the reason profits were down must have been due to the one off cost of hosting the Olympics. If turnover goes up but profits go down, then then the only reason for that to happen is increased costs.
