    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

What is this now, the 5th time the war has been 'over'. just got to hope that this time a ceasefire can be attained and maintained.

    Manchester synagogue attack

I must be missing something here because if you've arrested someone and they've then legged it to the airport only to be arrested again surely you don't let them out on bail?

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

looks like Israel, as it has done before previous ceasefires, is intensifying its bombing of Gaza ahead of the deadline for the ceasefire. nothing says we are looking forward to peace like chucking a load of bombs around. sadly given the state of information networks in Gaza people there have...

never heard of this chap before but would be interested to know the wider context of what he's saying and how much truth there is in it.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I don't think you're listening to the points anyone is making. Its not about being apologetic for any action against airbases or destruction of military equipment, I've not seen a single post suggesting the law as it was at the time should not be applied to PA. Its about the government...

    What moment still haunts you?

I've mentioned this many times before but the basic maths does not allow for using VAR for such close calls. When you allow for the speed of the ball, speed the defender is moving at, speed the forward is moving at, framerates and the camera angle the margin of error is huge.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Are you suggesting that before they became a proscribed organisation there was no possible means of charging individuals with any crime when they break into a RAF base and damage military aircraft? That seems to be a massive loophole the government should act to close. Instead they've chosen...

VAR at Wembley. Never felt anything like when Torp 'scored'.

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

There's certainly a strong arguement to suggest he didn't. However there's a big difference between Obama getting it and being "surprised and deeply humbled", saying he did not feel he deserved to be in the company of those who had previously won and that he would use it as a call to action...

Used to book for a small music venue in London, same thing. Cost of everything was so high that if you weren't putting 100 people through the door it was financially better to close for the night.

How long do we reckon it will be after they let the pubs stay open longer before we get 'we have no idea why there's been a sudden rise in anti-social behavior'?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Not a surprise. It appears that the government was advised against this from multiple sources for various reasons including the difficulty in ever obtaining a conviction, disproportionate use of resources that would distract from work on actual terrorism and loss of public confidence in the...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Think they're trying to cover for the fact that Trump saw some footage of a protest from years ago on Fox News and decided to send the National Guard in :ROFLMAO:

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

Some positive news for a change coming in overnight Lets hope the plan stays on track and the people of Israel and Gaza can put this nightmare behind them. We all know how fragile peace can be in that region but at least there is a glimmer of hope that they may now be able to peacefully...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The tory conference is deserted, even the lobbyists can't be bothered to show up. Was quite funny seeing Badenoch interviewed on BBC Breakfast denying the halls were empty for the speeches with the BBC having a split screen of her and footage of empty halls during the speeches.

    FUTURE ENGLISH STADIUMS

Seems like a non-starter to me. The cost to get a relatively small number of extra seats in would be insanely high. And there's already questions being asked on how the local infrastructure could cope with bigger crowds.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

That's exactly it, once you factor in the cost of public services in dealing with homeless people it works out cheaper to house them and then in the vast majority of cases they are able to successfully re-integrate into society, at least in the trials I've read about. When people talking about...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

One of the issues is that there are often conditions attached when providing assistance to homeless people. This can range from having to give up their dog to alcohol & drug testing. This leads to people refusing assistance or being thrown out of whatever assistance program there in. There...
