I mean that's also including contract extensions and renewals of current players.

Transfer Rumour More Callum Wilson rumours

Bearing in mind a player on 5k a week costs 260k a year, 2.5m might not directly go to transfers but would certainly be around that with wages and fees included.

Transfer Rumour More Callum Wilson rumours

Looking at the financials from last year id think that 2.5 million would be more than enough for SISU to cover the short fall in attendance and operating costs. Baring in mind we are paying less to be at St Andrews than at the Ricoh. (If you believe what's been said)

Match Thread Rotherham United vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 5th Oct

Again cant see Robins changing anything. I know it is in our fans mind-set to make a change every week but even with the criticism of Jobello and Hiwula, they are ultimately part of an unbeaten team. Only rotation comes with the centre backs which he appears to do based on the opposition rather...

Really Hope he goes, even its for 50 million. Out of £5m robins should hopefully see half. That's a lot of Wonga for this league.

    Jamie Allen

I would say another few weeks before he is in the under 23s and then maybe a few weeks after that see him on the bench or in the Checkatrade

I agree I agree. Continuity is key. The more our first 11 play together the better they become as a team. If we are unbeaten don't change it.

    Robins to Stoke?

Probably just bookie talk but its starting to do the rounds. Numerous reasons to stay with us but also a big one (£) not to. Is Robins the sort of man to see a project to its conclusion? ‘Would make no sense’ – Plenty of Coventry fans react to latest managerial rumour

    Future Wage Investment

Its definitely not sustainable for football in general. I can understand why the Championship are talking of a breakaway league. The chasm will become so vast that unless you are bought by a Billionaire Consortium your'e screwed.

I have been reading the Deloitte UK Annual review of football finance 2019 (You know as you do) and I noticed the following bit: (Link to full report can be found here)...

Chances are thatd be a along drawn out bid, probably concluded near the end of the window. Doubt we would have time to receive the funds and spend it wisely before the window Shut. However it would help us should be not get promoted.

Not to put a downer on it but....

Jesus. Cant cope with this. Why cant we turn a team over 3 or 4 nil? Loving the points but hating the closeness. I need a stent fitting.

Is anyone else scared of losing Robins?

Depends where we are when he leaves. If we are in the championship then I would expect us to find a half decent replacement. I will be worried if we don't go up this year though.

Bring Mason back in for Mcallum but otherwise keep it un changed. I have no doubt Wimbledon will press so we need comfortable ball players in centre mid. Only potential change would be Ohare in for Hiwula however Hiwula and Mason seen to have a good partnership.

Glad our fans aren't the manager...

IWhat I like about Robins is he sticks to his guns. Never changes a winning team unless theres injuries. A lot of fans were looking to drop Shipley and Westbrooke as soon as " higher league players" were available, but he knows the score. Even at 2-0 down he trusted the teams ethos, much like...
