Do you want to discuss boring politics?

One things for sure, he’ll never resign. If there are more fines I’m assuming there’ll be more pressure but I fear it’ll come down to elections only. If they think he can lead them to more victories they may just let him stay.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It’s terrible isn’t it really. I think we all know that. I’ve not bothered to read most of this thread but if there’s anyone defending Johnson/Sunak et al they’re on the wind-up. Their behaviour transcends party politics.

    Player of the season

Got to agree with most on here, it’s big Vik for me. Seems to pretty much have it all - could maybe improve his goal contribution - but his strength is incredible. He must be a nightmare to play against. I think testament to this is the amount of success he has in cutting back inside. The...

    Championship 21/22

So basically nearly everyone is losing money always? It’s a times like this that I realise I really don’t understand how business works.

    Cruellist chants

Just googled him…he’s still alive, 85. Served 48 years. Why do they sing about him?!

    Cruellist chants

I seem to remember some pretty grim chants aimed towards Gary Linekar when his son was ill. I wasn’t at the game but the old man reckons that Newcastle fans at HR were especially awful/racist. He said it sounded like they were all at it.

I apologise for saying Matty James flatters to deceive

You might well be right but I thought James was integral to the performances. He’s certainly not done much at Bristol. That French bloke they’ve got in midfield looked great when we played them…albeit he may have messed up for Vik’s goal at the end.

I apologise for saying Matty James flatters to deceive

I think he grew in stature towards the end of the season. He had some class about him and I thought he looked an upgrade on Kelly. Has he not been injured a lot again?

Did he take her up the deli aisle?

    Godden out for the season

Is that a fair comparison? Strikers tend to do a lot more twisting and turning…and running around generally. Therefore I’d say they’re bound to pick up more injuries? Unless of course we turn him into the next Tyler Walker, then he’d be fine! (I quite like Tyler Walker)

    Things that annoy you

I went to the beach a few years back with the family…went for a quick dip etc. This dog, on one of those leads, came over to where we were, ate and then regurgitated one of my socks. Which the owner then sort of apologetically, sort of not, handed back to me. I was unusually speechless. The...

    I was there when.....

Not a winger, a left midfielder? Im pretty sure Derby paid us quite a bit for him. £750k - £1mil. Part of an earlier Derby splurge…think they bought John Gregory etc too? When I think back I’m not quite sure what he did. However, cup winner ergo Cov Legend. seem to remember him scoring the...

    I was there when.....

That’s what I thought. McGrath was hard as nails though. At the risk of pointing out the obvious, we had some really good players back then. Did anyone see Nick Pickering play for England? I think he did?

    I was there when.....

Yeah…I did the same! Note to selves: check posts. McGrath was never the same after that injury. The old man reckons he could’ve been an international.

    I was there when.....

Keeping on the Pearce theme…I was also there when Dion powered past him and scored, when he was playing for Cambridge Utd in the cup.

Now, I remember the state of that pitch really well!

    I was there when.....

I’m confused. My memory is McGrath breaking his leg infront of the main stand…we were sat in the SB Terrace.

I don’t think it did? If it did, my dad and I have been completely deluded for the last 30+ years… Please tell me it didn’t!!!

    I was there when.....

I was also there when Steve Livingstone couldn’t stop scoring…including 4 against Sunderland!

    I was there when.....

I was there when Les Sealey came back to us on loan, and played his role as the pantomime villain to perfection.
