No issue with the way we setup initially but, having gifted them a 2 goal lead, it was always going to be nigh on impossible to break down a team as well disciplined & organised as they were. We should have changed the system up early second half at least.

Possibly, although if it were that I'd think it would be more like we commit players forward & leave ourselves exposed that way when, at least in my opinion, most of ours are very basic defensive errors - Moore last night, ball over Rose's head v Luton, dreadful marking at long throw v Sheff Utd...

    Penalty Shouts last Night

All 3 were penalties in my eyes but I can almost understand him missing the Gyok one, from our elevated view it's clear (that replay doesn't even do it justice) but as @Johnnythespider said it was cute enough to be missed by the officials at ground level. The Hyam one is mad, he can only have...

Fantastic question & difficult to really give a definitive answer. If you take a look back at the majority they are often early in the game & stem from an individual error or a failure to track a runner etc. (All 3 boxes were ticked last night!) This is usually a mental issue in my opinion -...

Goalkeeper Simon Moore expected to sign according to the Bladesman.

One for debate but I think the general level of first choice goalkeeper quality is fairly even across the league. There's little between the absolute best & the middle of the road (like Moore) to the less decent ones in my opinion. Moore is good enough for this level & to try & upgrade him...

    Without actual net investment

Not sure about that, he was calling for him to be sacked last season.

    Goal or no goal

You can see the video here. The still image is taken at the correct time. Unbelievably close but no goal.

I am the biggest advocate of the 3 at the back for us, it suits our personnel & style of play perfectly & I really don't think we could be as successful with a back 4. However, second half tonight was the one time I really would have tried it. As you say they completely stifled us &, despite the...

Absolutely. Hyam was stripped & readied immediately but sat back down as Fadz wanted to try & continue.

There usually is. You have the analysts sat up there. It's where scouts etc. would usually position themselves too, gives a much broader overview.

    Hamer New Deal

Yes, been much, much better of late for sure. Hopefully that's the level to come now he's a bit more settled with new contract etc. Top midfield players in my eyes (different strengths) are the likes of O'Brien, Bielik, Billing, Rothwell, Berge but he's not far off if he can cut down the errors.

    Hamer New Deal

No of course not, still has many flaws, but if he can keep up the level of the last few performances he might become part of the conversation in the near future.

Match Thread Sheff Utd (H) 12/03/22

Always thought it was more about league placings? i.e. if it was top 2 or 3 or bottom 3 playing each other with lots riding on it. Although we're obviously both chasing playoffs it was 5th v 11th.
