A majority of a clubs employees is non playing staff. Legal fees in any major organisation are always going to be significant

Probably true but it doesn’t mean it should be completely ignored. If people want a decent team they should be prepared to contribute towards it. How would you feel about Doug increasing tickets by 2%? Roughly an £8 increase

It won’t just be ticket sales. I imagine merchandise and f&b have increased as well. People seem to think that football clubs are immune to rising costs.

So how should the club make up the shortfall?

Average pay rises are well over 2%

They aren’t going to win all 4. That would mean 6th place on 80 points which must be unheard of?

Is beating Blues, QPR, Hull, & Blackburn beyond the realms of possibility?

The people on the gate won’t care less providing it’s not an adult using a kids ticket

Irresponsible to protest against all increases. 2% is more than reasonable considering inflation. Costs have gone up. Only options are to increase income, cut spending, or borrow.

Whinging scousers protesting over a 2% season ticket increase. If ours are only going up 2% I’d consider that decent...

4 points better off than this stage last season, but will probably need a higher points total so we’ll just miss out. To beat last years points total is still a realistic aim though and would demonstrate we’re still progressing. We’re still not the finished article, and I think next season...

Thanks to Sheff Wed that loss hasn't made a huge difference.

Hope that doesn't affect his confidence

Sheaf has 3 years remaining on his contract. If he leaves it will be for a substantial amount. I’d be very confident of the recruitment team finding a decent replacement.
