    Frank Lampard Rumours

I’m optimistic about my chances 👍 At my interview Doug King thanked me profusely for offering to do the job for a pittance and promised that the considerable saving would add to the transfer funds 😊

    Frank Lampard Rumours

The Metro and the Mirror are saying the same apparently. So it looks like being Tony Mowbray 😆

    Frank Lampard Rumours

I’m slightly warming to the idea of Lampard, for reasons even I can’t explain. It’s probably just that I want it done and dusted We were always going to get a relatively untested rookie - probably one who has enjoyed some success at a lower level - or a more experienced one who has failed...

    Frank Lampard Rumours

I am, to say the least, distinctly underwhelmed by the prospect of Lampard. I would much have preferred that we kept MR. That said, it’s not the fault of whoever is appointed that MR was sacked. We must get behind the new man and give him our backing if we want to enjoy success.

Right who's the next manager then?

I am familiar with the difference. It would be a bit disappointing if I didn’t after 45 years practising corporate law 😆 Doug King is the sole director. It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have people around him who offer advice, even though they are not directors.

Right who's the next manager then?

There isn’t a board as Doug King is the sole director. This means that all important matters are his sole decision rather than a collective one. I do hope that, even though they aren’t directors, he has people around him with a good range of knowledge that he uses as sounding boards.

Right who's the next manager then?

I’m up for that but only if he is a central midfielder, centre back or right back. 👍

Right who's the next manager then?

Mark Robins has recently become available. I guess he would want to manage a much better club than us though.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

Then I think we will be fishing in a very small pool.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

I don’t like the sound of that. I believe that a football manager should be in overall charge of all football-related activities of a club. I don’t think there have been many instances where managers have performed particularly well under a Director of Football. At least in those cases the DOF...

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

I’m assuming that this will also be the end of the existing coaching staff as the new manager is likely to want to bring his own people in. I’m sorry to see MR go but a change in the backroom staff could turn out to be a good thing.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

My wife supports Wolves. She wants them to sack Gary O’Neill and appoint MR.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

I think this is a mistake. I know we have been underperforming but I am far from convinced that we can lay all of this at the door of the best manager we have had in a very long time. We will end up appointing either a young untried manager (who might have performed alright at a lower level)...

He’s OK : certainly not making as many mistakes as the players.

    Viktor Moving on

This Gymores chap looks promising. I think we should try and beat the likes of Watford and Preston to his signature. He will be a good back-up for EM-C and give us more squad depth. We should offer Tavares and £1 million for him.

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

I’m not a betting man but my understanding is that the odds reflect the money staked on each candidate. I think it is the case that men (who are more likely to back Trump according to the polls) are more likely to gamble than women. If that’s right, it will skew the odds in favour of a Trump...

    Raphael

That’s a good point. I can only think that he has recovered from his injury but - as you would expect - isn’t yet regarded as being match fit. If that’s correct we will surely see him in the U23s very soon.

Netherlands is one of those countries that doesn’t allow dual nationality. This means that to get Australian nationality - which I’m sure is what he has - he would have to surrender his Netherlands one.

    Mason-Clark

I agree. Given time, I’m sure he will prove to be a good player. Gykores hadn’t performed well before he joined us and wasn’t great for us to start with. I think it’s fair to say that things have turned out alright for him 😊

    cheating fake injuries again

The good news is that, when opposing teams use fake injuries to allow their manager to reset his tactics, we usually go on to win 😊
