    Blogging ??

Very difficult to make any money on youtube now either - those days have gone. We are releasing tutorial videos on how to make a video game as part of marketing for our PC game. One video has been watched over 10k times and we made 3p from it.

    Ever Feel You've Had Enough?

I went to Swindon this weekend to meet with four friends from Uni. We are all in our mid fifties and graduated in Maths from a good university in the 80s. Every single one of us is burnt out from work and not one of us has a "proper" job any more. We were discussing our experiences and they...

    Ever Feel You've Had Enough?

I think that is good advice. Some people are just wankers but most are reasonable. I'd prepare a list of the issues they are raising with your response and evidence. Send it in to them and suggest a meeting to go through together and agree anything that still needs to be addressed and next...

    The EU referendum

I'm still undecided on this one. I'm against free movement on the grounds of the impact on housing. I'm against bureaucracy in all its sloth-like forms. However I'm unable to assess the potential impact on the economy of leaving and would love to see some models by an independent with...

Now we know why Andy Turner isn't a manager

Which is exactly why he's inconsistent. How can he be expected to play well when he's constantly worrying about not being able to get his clean pants out of his case?

Now we know why Andy Turner isn't a manager

Andy Turner is to football analysis what Einstein is to Physics. He's only equalled by the impish Alan Poole - the man who Brian Clough begged to work with before settling for Peter Taylor. We are blessed to have two such geniuses commenting on CCFC and my guess is we'll only realise how much...

If it wasn't for those Meddling jocks....

I believe that in Scotland you may open but you must pay a premium on wages. The SNP voted against because that clause was not inserted into the English bill. I think they have a point - but I also agree that it's wrong that they can change English law but parliament cannot change Scottish law.

    Netflix - Making a murderer

Nearly completed watching this; it's unbelievable isn't it? I know the defence team doesn't accuse the police of the murder due to the negative impact it is likely to have on the jury. I also know there is no evidence that they did it. However they certainly seem to have motivation and...

    Seppala at the SCG Meeting...

I suspect they excluded something from the 11k numbers - such as interest due on debt for example.

    Housing in the UK

I was going to say that the video was bollocks and then I read the BoE paper. Would you believe that I have worked in Finance for 25 years & didn't know that? The importance of capital ratio now makes more sense to me. Thank you. So, yes I agree, that permitting banks to lend more and...

    Housing in the UK

I agree with almost everything you say & I agree that houses can be bought for £100k. But my concern is that even that is not affordable: Age 24, now earning, say, £27k and has £20k of student debt outstanding. £27k is a good salary for a young person and that's only just affordable - right...

    Budget Next Year

If you get a windfall do you spend it all immediately? Or do you save some for a rainy day? Only my opinion but I think it would be dumb to splash out everything next year only to possibly be broke the following year.

    Housing in the UK

I don't understand this point. Issuing a mortgage isn't printing money. Banks have to fund mortgages: that's why they have savings accounts and the London inter-bank lending market exists (LIBOR). Further, reducing mortgage lending further would only put new buyers in greater difficulty.
